Okay, I've said it before, and I'll say it again:

Yes, votes are important, but outgoing hits are more important. Out of the eight sites that rank higher then us right now, only three rank higher from having more votes. Four are higher then us on outgoing hits alone, and Star Wars Combine, the current leader, has more hits and votes. To put things in a better perspective, the dreaded Tavern Makers don't even have 1/6 of the votes we have, but they're still only one rank below us, simply because they have twice as many hits.


Be careful, though. If you give too many outgoing hits (a tad less then 100 a day), your IP will be banned, and you'll be considered a spambot. I would say about 50 outgoing hits a day per IP address is the safest way to do it.

Heh, I had never seen this quote before either.  Just for clarification's sake, those words have never directly come out of my mouth, but I have seen several very good new members come to us through that site.

Wait, it determines computers through IP addresses? So, theoretically, if we had somebody who could change their IP address as often as they wanted, we could set them to send multiple votes a day?
