I've uploaded about 140 period piece illustrations to the Urbis Wiki. I'm wondering if they enhance the presentation of the setting.

So please take a look at the wiki as it is now, and tell me which pieces you liked and found appropriate for the relevant entry, which pieces you disliked, and if you think these illustrations help to convey the setting better or if they don't add anything to the presentation.

Where on the site are the pics?  I nosed around a bit, but I couldn't locate them.

EDIT:  I see them.  I thought you meant a separate gallery.  I didn't realize they were inserted into the individual entries.

I haven't had time to take a look, but I finally did.  They do add a lot of flavor to the write-ups.  They seem to be similar in style.  Where did you get them?  I have read a lot about Urbis (on the CBG I believe [EDIT:  Duh, for some reason I thought I was on the GURPS forum]), but the images really put it in perspective.  I think illustrations are vital to a game world for a RPG, but they can also detract from the effort.  From what I know of Urbis these images were a good decision and add to my understanding of the environment instead of twisting or altering it all together.  Nice job, I guess would be my point.

From ClipArt.Com. They seem similar mainly because the artists of that period had to use similar techniques when their work was printed - most of them are 19th century period pieces.
