Quote from: sparkletwistUpdated the thread, and I altered the description of the visual aids award to include maps, too.
We've got so many nice map makers, it seems like this should be a separate category. Unless the idea is just so Leetz has some competition  :rambo:

Quote from: IshmaylHow about for people who make maps for other people, not just those that have nice maps in their campaign setting?
Yeah, I've also updated the description to be less about one's own setting.

People who have generously made maps for others should of course be eligible, in addition, non-setting-related visual aids should be eligible, like Steerpike's goblin thread. (Which I see he's gotten nominated for, good!)

Ishmayl-Retired

IN that case,

Full Blown Visual Aids - I nominate Lath for his amazing (and free!) maps he's been contributing.

For finite types, like human beings, getting the mind around the concept of infinity is tough going.  Apparently, the same is true for cows.

Snargash Moonclaw

Well thanks for the nomination! I'm kinda surprised since I haven't been nearly so active here this last year, but happy to accept it.

Well Thank you Ish, I accept that nomination too!

  Mien Gott; Thats two!

Also i have been thinking, Rookie of the Year should be in this years Guildies. It was good at encouraging "new" members to post more and to be more involved here and not be intimidated. I know we are going a shortened program this year but I think that catagory was a keeper.

Thank again!

Completely missed this o_o. Provided nominating more than one is allowed I will accept. On another note I wonder what gifts we would bring. Vreeg of course with his wine, and wensley bringing the cheese... I could bring a rare turtle bard to play for them (move over drummer boy).

Updated.

For the sake of simplicity, I've assuming that anyone who has already accepted a nomination in any category has also accepted nominations in any other category. It saves a lot of checking, posting, waiting, and whatnot. If you wish to overtly decline any nomination for any reason, you still can, of course.

My reasoning for removing it was that having a special "newbie award" seemed exclusionary in its own way. If a new user has created something exceptional, then the best reaction seemed to be to nominate that user for the crunch, fluff, great setting, etc. award. I didn't want to create an atmosphere that only people who have been around for a long time are eligible for consideration. If new users are being considered equally with old-time users for the main content awards, I think there's really no need for anything special.

Quote from: NomadicProvided nominating more than one is allowed I will accept.
I wouldn't object as long as everyone doesn't spam the nominations.... :P

Since the other two have already been nominated by others, it doesn't even matter in this case.

Acrimone

I nominate Vreeg for Professor of Pragmatism.

Superfluous Crow

Well, i would contribute, except it seems that most of the persons i would nominate have already been nominated :)
But I'll be keeping tabs on the progress of the ceremony.
