I have problems with this.  Disney is known for censoring a lot of material that goes through them, and Marvel has matured quite nicely over the last few decades, I would hate to think we just go back to the days of black-and-white evil-vs-good, with no shades of gray.  But maybe that's just the lack of sleep and lack of coffee talking...

On the other hand, they tend to put out quality more often than not, so maybe it's nothing to worry about.

Mmmmm... Coffee....

Maybe Marvel will force Disney to mature.

Yeah, remember the kiddy romp that City of Men, There Will Be Blood, Gangs of New York, Stay Alive, Hero, Apocalypto, No Country For Old Men. Primeval, and Kill Bill were? Marvel is ruined.

(I haven't read Marvel in years, but to suggest that Disney will somehow force the company to water down their products is ludicrous. If comics and comic-related properties sell the way they are, Disney won't have a problem with that.)

Disney's been showing the "Spectacular Spiderman" cartoon on the Disney XD network, and they used to show it on ABC. It is a very good show, the best comic book cartoon in a very long time.

Both my fiancee and I work for Disney, and we live near the park and many of Disney's interests.

Having Disney as an owner has not changed Pixar. In fact, maybe Disney will keep Marvel from doing stupid shit.

My thoughts were a pure financial motivation, what with the recent success of Iron man, (with a whole shitload of sequels and spinoffs coming in the next few years)

I was thinking about it the other day actually, how freakin lucky we are to finally have live-action comic book movies that don't suck.

And yet there was that awful Wolverine movie...
