I'm gonna be house sitting this weekend. Gonna have access to a big box of old drawings and piles of magazines (so plenty of reference materials), my light table and some decent editing software (I know how to use the former better than the latter, but I can clean things up), pens and pencils and sharpies, and a scanner.

I'll draw you stuff. Gotta be B&W just 'cause.

I'll be doing this all weekend through maybe monday.

So request some stuff while I've got the opportunity to work on stuff.

Here's something that might challenge you:

Ssl: 10 ft tall mobile trees, ssl resemble an upright, abdomenless insect, most closely the head, thorax, and six thin legs of a praying mantis with branches of either broadleaf or needle variety growing there out of.
Ssl are said to be either descendants or child-creations of the legendary creator trees known as Ggddrssl, and whether or not this is true they share their legendary forebears urge to discover and produce new forms of creation.
I'm a muck-levelist, I like to see things from the bottom.

"No matter where you go, you will find stupid people."

Llum

I have been told that some people have a hard time imagining what these look like, if they take your fancy feel free to take a crack at one (or more?).

[ic]
Lensmen

Lensmen look like rather simple creatures. They have a humanoid shape, but their arms and legs are composed of rubbery tubes in varying shades of gray and blue. Their bodies are very narrow, broadest at the shoulder they become slimmer down to the waist. Each limb is made from from two or three tubes, legs ending in flat round enameled structures and arms ending is in four or five smaller tubes. Their heads are four tubes in a helix shape, the ends join then flatten out, creating a box like shape similar to a square-ish flower. The box emits a bright yellow light, and the four sides can constrict to change the shape of its "head".

Lensmen have been known to wield weapon always crafted from some refined metal similar to steel, yet stronger and less flexible. When damaged Lensmen bleed a black viscous ichor that's extemely adhsive. They're vary in height between four and a half to nearly six feet.

Lantern Giants

Lantern Giants resemble colossal Lensmen, the smallest being eighteen feet tall and larger Giants topping twenty-six feet. Another main difference is when damaged their ichor is orange and extremely hot, being able to melt traditional steel on contact.

In combat the Giants are able to emit plasma streams from their facial orifice, these plasma streams can liquefy most materials with extreme heat.

Star Children

The Star Children are named for their strange pentagonal star shape. Their bodies are roughly shaped like a five pointed star, with the upper three points ending in long tentacles. The lower two extremities end is powerful hook shaped muscled legs, who end in clawed feet. The legs resemble those of bipedal lizards covered in small pale sickly yellow scales. The Star Children are digitigrade beasts, walking on the taloned toes. The ends of the tentacles tend to fade to a black color along their length.

The strangest feature is the maw of a creature, they come in two general forms. The first form is a gaping circle ringed with rows of sharp teeth. The Second form is a split from the top of their bodies down to the bottom, nearly bisecting their torso in half. In the second form, this split opens itself to reveal a mouth lined with two rows of interlocking teeth, all serrated. [/ic]

Nomadic

Pick one or more and throw em my way. I would be eternally grateful.

Aerlin
Squat bipedal beings who walk with a slight hunch in their back. They are slightly pudgy and stand about 2-3 feet tall. They are covered in slick white or blueish hair except on their hands, feet, and face which have blueish skin. Their face has a pointed snout that ends in a flattened nose (a bit like a pigs nose) and two large black eyes. Aerlin favor little clothing, often wearing nothing more than belts and bandoleers with which to carry items. However some enjoy wearing jackets and vests and sometimes boots. Aerlin prefer hatchets and short bows.

Gerrag
Great big greenish gray or tan colored creatures standing 5-6 feet in height. They are bulky generally weighing 250-350 lbs (most of which is muscle). They have smooth skin and no hair. Their hands and feet have webbed fingers and toes and end in short claws instead of nails. They have a rounded face with no nose which curves back into an elongated skull (a little bit like a protoss). Gerrag often wear baggy pants with rope or leather belts and various pouches. They don't often wear shirts or coats however they do enjoy wearing cloaks and capes. Gerrag prefer maces and compound bows.

Maeri
Maeri are basically leaner, more lithe humans with blueish skin and black hair. Maeri clothing is pretty similar to human clothing as well. The current fashion is akin to that of the industrial age in America and England. Maeri prefer longswords and throwing knives

Nicu
Nicu are giants, standing 7-8 feet in height. They have a similar build to a human of that size but their arms and legs are more muscular and they tend to be a bit barrel chested. The Nicu face is somewhat elven in appearance with long pointed ears. Nicu clothing is flowing. They often wear undergarments of a tight fitting fabric, often in the form of a tank top and shorts. Over these goes thick baggy pants and overshirts as well as long cloaks and broad belts. The current fashion for them also includes knee high black boots. Nicu prefer spears, crossbows, and scimitars.

Tilei
Tilei have scaly skin like a fish as well as fins along their arms, legs, and back Their fingers and toes are connected by a strong webbing except on the first finger or toe, which makes them look a bit like mittens. They are about 4-5 feet tall with thin builds. Their face is fish-like looking very much like the face of a rainbow trout. Tilei clothing is often a bit more tribal (at least to human eyes). They prefer loincloths, shoulder bands and bandoleers, as well as simple cloth belts. They will occasionally wear footwear however the only footwear that is comfortable for them is open toed boots and sandals. Tilei favor spears and daggers

Sure thing Vreeg.

SCMP: A few questions... want the legs opposed (knees bending outward) to kinda balance out the lacking abdomen and taller head? Now that I think of it they may be anyway, but it would be good to know. Also, articulated digits at the end of the scythe-ish mantid arms? If they're creating new life forms, I'd assume they're using tools somehow.

I'm not really picky.

They don't have the scythes, just the thin legs that a mantis supports its weight on, thought four as arms and two as legs.

While you can feel free to make out something for either Xiluh, Fiendspawn, or even some sketch for my diceless system, I'd like to see your style before I make any specific requests. Will you be posting these in the thread?

Some stuff. I had a webcomic for a little while but that's down now. And yeah, I'll be posting stuff here.

Working on the mantis/tree people and the hairy pigfaced people. I'm less satisfied so far with the latter than the former. I've got a very rough sketch of the star thing too.

'At's right, now I remember. I had already asked if you'd do something for Fiendspawn. I'm not too picky on what I get, but if you want any direction, feel free to PM me for my latest half-baked idea for the setting.
