Is it just the rum, or is that quote somehow uncomfortably sexual?

Also, as an artist, I couldn't help but watch that until the similarities that made it work were apparent. [spoiler=For the record...]
It's the partial frown inherent  to a dog's expression (see: puppy eyes), and the furrowed brow inherent to pugs. The fact that most mammals have a relatively similar eyes-nose-mouth facial structure only adds to the connection[spoiler=*.]This is actually more important than one might immediately assume. In fact, it's the key why one can readily sympathize with protagonists in (seemingly lazily drawn) stick figure webcomics, such as OotS, or XKCD; the theory is, the more (in this case, visual) detail to a character, the less likely One will associate with them; a highly detailed character is a Quite Specific Person, but a stick figure can easily be a General Anybody. It's quite surprising how well this can work, really; even the glasses and blonde hair serve as little more than a distinguishing feature from the harness and floppy ears.[/spoiler] [spoiler=Also,]there's the looped repetition, which makes it unclear which is the "first"-- and thus, the "object".[/spoiler][/spoiler].
