Alright, dwarfs. Dwarfs do a lot of mining and deforesting. Even though their mining is typically at one with the earth spirits, their deforestation is less so. Plus forging items technically changes the spirit of the metal into something else, so Sidhe do not like it (Fey are weak to metal).

Are Fey weak to all kinds of metal? Or just the classical cold iron? Steel?

Quote from: XeviatDwarves are only humanoid in the sense of 2 arms, 2 legs, a torso, and a head.
That is generally the definition of the term humanoid :P

Also, what are the difference between Sea and Coastal Tritons? What about Ogres?

Not really, there are alot of creatures that have all of those that aren't humanoid.

The very act of forging metal changes the spirit of the ore into something different. Ore's spirit is an earth spirit, but the forging process imbues it with fire, altering it; thus, weapons and armor are a mixture of fire and earth spirits. This altered spirit is no longer one with the natural world; it has been changed. This does not mean that the spirit of a forged weapon or is evil, but it is not natural (not unnatural though), and thus fey dislike it.

Wearing or using metal items weakens them, and they take extra damage from metal weapons. This is why fey weapons are made of wood, or often "living wood", which is still alive and grows into the shape of the spear, staff, club, or bow.

Sea Tritons are not united; their society fell apart after meddling from the human empire. Sea Tritons now exist as a group of unaligned island nations and ship-towns. Ship towns are large vessels which are comparable to human villages, holding sometimes one hundred tritons. They are more chaotic and individualistic than coastal tritons, who live together in tight nit communities.

I haven't done too much work on Ogres. I do not suspect Ogres have their own culture; they will typically grow up amongst Giants or Humans (just like Fey-touched will grow up amongst Sidhe or Humans). They're going to be big and strong, obviously, and they might gain some sort of free magical ability tied to the element of their giant parentage.

Whipping one's self is too close to being an emo-cutter, so I need someone else to do it. I've been playing too much WoW, I need to write, but other than crunch, I don't know what else to do right now.

I'm making pages of info for my website. What would you like to see?
