Raelifin

Hello, welcome to the first PbP game to be setup on the CBG! Woo!

First of all, I'd like everyone who is new to PbP to read over some of this: http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=222737 so that you can get a basic idea of what PbP is about.
While some of the rules don't apply, it is a good place to start.

We are using http://invisiblecastle.com/ for all die rolls. Please link to all your rolls. Use the url at the bottom of the page rather than the page url when linking.

This is a game in my latest world of Phaedoras. As some of you might know, Phaedoras isn't fully functional so I encourage everyone to ask questions whenever they want. When constructing characters I accept material from the following:

Core Rules (not setting)
Phaedoras Campaign Setting (in development)
 - Introduction
 - Chapter 1: Rules
 - Races of Phaedoras
 - Classes of Phaedoras
 - Witchdoctors, Shamans and Spirits

If you want to use PrCs, feats etc. Make sure to ask me before using them.

At this point I have no set plans for a campaign, and I'll most likely build it around the players. Please say what kind of games you enjoy so I can have a good feel for the group.

Please post character sheets in the format presented here: http://boards1.wizards.com/showpost.php?p=3169600&postcount=7

NEW: Characters will be level 2.

Stats should be bought with a 32 point buy. Please do not choose languages yet.

Good gaming!

EDIT: Oh yeah, Natural 20 gets in automatically since he has never played before.

just a thought.
Quote"So, Scientology, you may have won THIS battle, but the million-year war for earth has just begun!" the two said in a statement that seemed to parody Scientology as science fiction. You have obstructed us for now, but your feeble bid to save humanity will fail! Hail Xenu!!!"

Ishmayl-Retired

Rael, I posted a link in the previous thread to a character sheet template, you may wanna see if it will be useful for your game.  It can probably be edited to add and take out plenty of stuff if need be, but it covers the basics.

For finite types, like human beings, getting the mind around the concept of infinity is tough going.  Apparently, the same is true for cows.

Raelifin

Okay. Either works. I just want some people to show intrest.

Numinous

Interested, but I'm on my way into school.  I'll write something up when I get home.
Previously: Natural 20, Critical Threat, Rose of Montague
- Currently working on: The Smoking Hills - A bottom-up, seat-of-my-pants, fairy tale adventure!

Wix of Bel-Air

Same here. Mind telling me what this spiritcraft is? Or is it just spellcraft, only it's more towards the summoning of spirits instead of spells?

Oh yeah, will I be able to cast magic missile at the darkness in this campaign?

Looks interesting. I gotta head off to work now, but I'll check what this is all about and post again tonight.

Pssst! What is the starting gold for the Shaman? Plus, are we first level? So I'd start off with no hp but about 2-5 vp. (or somethin').

@ Crit: Cool
@ Wix1: Yes, it is a coppy of spellcraft.
@ Wix2: Nope, you get to use your Staff of Flames at the darkness here.
@ supa: Cool
@ Wix3: I haven't gotten around to doing equipment yet (one of the reasons I was hesitant to starting another game. My other one used premade characters.) so you can just present a list of equipment and I will say if you can't afford any of it. If you get less than you "could," I'll give you an equal amount of gpe to compensate.
@ Wix4: Yes. Sorry I didn't post that.
@ George: No, the numbat will need to stay indoors at all times.

Raelifin

Oh, and yes. If you start out at level 1, none of you should have any hero points to start.

There are a few feats that I could list. Variants of toughness, shield feats, racial feats, etc. Tell me if you want to see them. I'd like to hear character ideas so I can help with character creation.

Wix of Bel-Air

Toughness! I'm so gonna need that one. Also, some sort Chitinous Shell feat for my pacifisitic bug character would be nice.

You planning on playing a nimunbella shaman? Sweet!
I'm also bumping the starting level to 2 so that more races are available.

EDIT: I'd also like to say that I can make a racial class progression for anyone who wants to play a race with more than 2 racial HD.

Oh yeah, the reason why I asked for the amount of gold to start off with (or for a 2nd level character) is how much I can spend on Binding spirits for my shaman. Yeah, I need to know how many I can have. Thx!

I'm interested: since the first Phaedoras campaign was such a smashing success and since I have WAY too much spare time on my hands, I would be more than happy to join your game.
