The Opius Road Preliminary Thread (Don't worry, I ain't abandoning adventures in the waste!)

As you know, I've already got a PbP game going on at the moment, and this isn't likely to start until that's over. However, I WOULD like to gauge interest and see whether anyone would feel like a game set in Kahtar.

I called it 'The Opius Road' simply because that's my favourite part of Kahtar, but of course, it would be your choice which part we ran it in. Any ideas are welcome, but a couple I had were...

1. Travellin' up the Opius Road - merchant guards or whatever.

2. War! Mercenaries or soldiers in one of the clashes between Domsha and the Caliphate or possibly Astalia and the Caliphate.

3. Trade and diplomacy - attempt to survive in the complicated political mess of the Caliphate and eastern nations...

Darn right you're not going to abandon us.  Blackjack knows where you live and he'll hunt you down and kill you.  And then take your stuff.

As you know, I'm interested in playing, and am slowly but surely making my way through the Kahtar thread, in what free time I have.

As far as what I prefer...

I've never played in a war adventure.  I've DMed a couple, but never played in one.  I think that would be the most interesting to me.  But I'll play any style.  Diplomacy, mercenary, soldier, whatever.

Same as with DX, i am always interested in new pbp's, but i have not yet read through all of Khatar, so i will give you a better answer later.
you beter not abandon us though. THis story is seeming really cool and i've been in too many pbp's that have died off recently.
If anything, i would prefer this one to speed up since i want to know what will happen.
