A hush has fallen over the arena as they eagerly await the rematch. Has Saren Recovered fully? How will he fare this time? Can !maeba take him down again? Will !maeba even do anything at all?

[ic= !maeba ] "I see you chose to keep your wound. This i am glad to see. You keep it as a reminder of your defeat, but also as a mark of strength. You took the wound and have returned to the ring. This shows great courage." He holds up Saren's severed ear, which he had hung around his neck. "No matter how this ends, this will be returned to you - either as the spoils of victory, or so that you may be sent whole into the next life." Then !maeba pulls out his bow and does his rituals. Oil to the bow, annointing his arrows and warpaint for him and his dogs, all the while chanting prayers. Then, speaking to his dogs and sending them out to the sides, he pulls out an arrow and moves behind a pillar and waits for the battle to begin. [/ic]

[ooc]How are you getting 25 feet?  I get 3 squares (15 feet) from 07 to 10 and 4 squares (20 feet) from G to K.  That's 35 feet plus a 5-foot step behind the pillar?  Unless I'm missing something...[/ooc]

For the normal move, if you move on a diagonal, the first diagonal costs 5 feet, the second 10, the third 5 feet, the 4th 10 feet, etc. (the diagonal of a 5 foot square if just over 7 feet long.) [/ooc]

Saren says to !maeba, "The other fighters are going to be here soon.  You better let me enchant you and your dogs before they get here, or we might be in trouble.  If I don't, they will come in and kill us all without honor.  Also," he adds, as if in passing, "you should set your weapons down or they could be melted by the magic." Saren approaches !maeba and his dogs, smiling broadly and gesturing towards !maeba's weapons.

He does NOT draw any weapons or even make a motion to.  His own weapons are the farthest thing from his mind, and he wants !maeba and his dogs to know that.[/ic]

[ic=Saren HP=8 AC=18]"No, no.  We were going to be fighting against each other, friend, if they couldn't find any other opponents, remember?  But they found a couple of others before the match began.  We're to be fighting an Elven mage named Dor Eitos and a Human warrior called Ishim Ael.  I've got to cast my Prismatic Protection spell before they get here, or the Elf's Prismatic spells will destroy us both.  I thought we had discussed this before the match?  You don't remember?  Oh no!  Perhaps it was the bump to the head you suffered when one of the fans threw out that rock for you to sign.  Well, remember now, !maeba, that we have only a few more moments to prepare before our opponents arrive."  Seeing !maeba lean on his bow, he realizes that the Barbarian is probably loathe to part with his weapons. "I suppose you could hold on to your weapons, though I don't know why it matters, you can pick them right back up, but my protective magic may not be good for them."[/ic]
