I have finally been resurrected from the grave it seems (after a long-lost internet connection :() and I have lost all sense of what I had been working on previously. I still plan to use the Faenaed world but I want to work on incorporating high technology and classic fantasy, but don't know how to explain their conjunction, since they contradict each other. Also, it will be used primarily on an on-line forum-based RP me and my friend are developing so if anyone has any advice/resources on doing that as well i would be most grateful.

Well, I was once a member of forum based RP's like Gaia but realized they were stupid because people missed the point and just talked about nothing. So I would have to go with adapting, because i would like to incorporate character gen and actuall role-playing engineering into it as well. I have alink in my siggy but im not sure if it works.

The Winged Chronicles link is kaput.

just a little note: if you're planning on doing custom modifications to the forum, as opposed to finding plugins/whatever, e107 is not the path to go. :D

e107 is easy to set up, but the ease of use absolutely ends there.

Thanks for the tip, but my site is, unfortunately, e107. I have learned through this forum that mods arent that easy but I don't know what other path to go. Maybe phpBB? I have not tried to mad that extensively

Out of curiosity... what setting you running on this? What system (not computer system... RPGsystem, like d20 or GURPS or what have you)?

What?
England.
Just a conspiracy of cartographers, then?

So-Keher

That is one of the decisions i have yet to make. It needs to be simple enough to run on a forum, yet complex enough to make for a good RPing experience with lots of flexibility. Do you have any suggestions? (what is this GURPS you speak of?

Generic Universal Roleplaying System, or some shiz like that. You can DL a PDF of the generic version free. I've got my own ideas, if you care to hear 'em.

Are you talking like, where the entire forum is dedicated to one campaign, where all the games run and all the players are in the same world and interact with each other? kinda like this?
