Ninja D!

Quote from: Elemental_ElfOk guys, we've had a rough week here. Let's get back into this!
Agreed!
Quote from: CoyoteCamouflageJust got back from Gencon last night. I'll be taking today to catch up with everything I've missed since I left. I can't promise a post in the immediate future, but I should be back in the game by tonight sometime.
Glad to hear it. I hope you partied like a nerdcore star. (lol c wut i did thar?)

I don't have as good of an excuse. *shrug*

Question: Do you guys want to double back and get your gear prior to going to T'Kin's apartment?

Ninja D!

It wouldn't hurt but I'm not sure I could justify it. The biggest concern would be checking the apartment fast before the police show up.

Steerpike

Are the police really going to show up imminently though?

I blew up T'Kin's head and took her omni-tool, and Trigun-boy destroyed her computer.  There are several other corpses as well.  The cameras have been destroyed/wiped.  The whole place is a disaster zone, so simply pulling up relevant records would also be problematized.  Simply identifying T'Kin will probably take awhile - how fast would genetic identification take, and would T'Kin's DNA even be on file?  If she doesn't have a criminal record (or has had her record scrubbed or something), the cops probably don't even have her DNA.  Yes, they can pull up the record of who worked at the office electronically, but that's probably a fair number of employees - I doubt their first move would be to immediately check apartments.

My guess is the police probably won't show up for awhile.  Right now they have no idea who is responsible for the massacre or what their motives are.

We could always send one party member back to pick up our stuff...?

Alternatively I now have full control of the entire security system, so we could lay low and wait for the cops to comb through, but I think that's too time-consuming... we want to get to Don as fast as possible.

EDIT: Frankly, I could use my control of the security system to refuse the cops entry, or at least slow their progress considerably.

CoyoteCamouflage

After having run into well-armed Eclipse, going and gearing up seems like a wise idea. Were it not for the problems of running headlong into the mercs, I do not think it would be an issue.

Steer raises good points on both the time it would take investigators to reach her apartment, as well as his ability to give authorities even more difficulties in accessing the security units of the office.

Nice way to outdo Archimedes' rational reasoning with your true personality SP. :D

Elemental_Elf

As an aside, I added up your current XP and you guys are at 1850 each.

LD

Thanks.

Oh and NinjaD- Lini probably isn't going to notice that yet. Although she's done emptying her stomach (since there's not much left inside it), she's entering stage 3 of Quarian allergic reactions so she's not entirely all there right now. Don't worry, she'll get to it soon enough.

Lini would vote to go straight to the apartment, but that's only because she's armed with everything she needs right now. If Sal mentioned needing some heavier gear, she wouldn't object.

On a side note that is probably too much TMI; I've been giving some thought to Quarian reproductive physiognomy. I envision it as a sort of reptilian going into heat thing, but of course they would also have periods--maybe a long period that is the real one that leads to going into heat, then a shorter faux-one that's painful, but ultimately not reproductively helpful. (They are Quarians after all--constantly fragile). Thus, during certain times, Lini's b*tchiness will increase even more than it is at current.

So is everyone just going to go up to T'Kin's floor are or you guys going to go talk with the Volus by the pool?

CoyoteCamouflage

I was under the impression that we would just smile and nod politely to the Volus' request then ignore him. Mostly because I don't trust him.

If he's doing something he *should* be doing, then why does he need the Admin's password? Moreso, what halfway decent IT person can't get around that sort of problem anyway?

Just act as your characters would.

Lini just wants her mission over. She already knows a virus was input into the elevator and she knows musical human had volus friends, so she's not inclined to trust any Boshtet jerkwad volus. And even if she trusted him, she'd still tell him to *$73 off.

?I thought it was clear in the post.

1. She was doing what Kai suggested and trying to take control of the cameras; you know p3wning them.

Then:

2. P3wnig. the other elevators, as suggested by Kai, so she can screw with them if necessary. (Although the definition I was using it as was to "own" as in take control).

3.
And also as a swift action, tossing the grenades to Kai.
