So, I am creating a fantasy setting, generally for DnD 3.5 games.
I have the software to create the maps and stuff I want, but I do not know where I am going to write/store all of the information- e.g. history, factions, nations, lore, etc for the setting.

Ideally some kind of writeable encyclopedia program would be great, where I could write entries for the various races, nations, events, etc of the setting and browse through it all- but I have no idea if such software exists.

Any ideas? if all else fails, I suppose I could just write it all up in word documents....

Why yes, it does!

Seriously, though, some sort of wiki sounds like something useful for you. You're welcome to use ours, but if you'd rather keep iut offline, then installing and setting up your own local copy would work well too.

This sounds like a perfect use of the wiki, to be honest!  It's actually what wikis are for (in part at least).

Well, I will start using the wiki then :p Just as soon as the map is fleshed out a bit more.

sweet!  I look forward to seeing what you come up with.  Let me know if you need any custom headers or anything.
