[ooc] If I remember correctly, I think I read where someone used two dimension doors (or similar spell) at the end of a pipe filled with stones or other objects. The doors would transport the objects inside to the other end, so they can build up to 20d6. Then get rid of the bottom dimension door over top of someone so that they take 20d6 x number of objects[/ooc]

[ooc]At least in D20 Modern, they specify a reflex save (based on the object's size) to take half damage from being hit by a falling object.

I'd argue that just as one can argue that by the (normal D20), falling damage is automatic, one could also argue that you -never- take "hit by falling object" damage, since there's no listed way to determine that you were.

[ooc]Okay, well.  After posing the question about dodging a 3-ton Earth Elemental in The Tavern, here's what I got.

Falling stone trap? You could probably use the same save, just change the damage to fit a 3-ton earth elemental.

Wait, the DMG gives the falling block an attack roll at +15 instead of a reflex save.

So, do you think it would be a higher modifier since the Earth Elemental is a Large creature?

The falling block already applied to two squares, but that just meant it rolled to hit everything within that area. So, you could say that it attacked everything within 4 square area, or house-rule a bonus to hit.[/blockquote]

So, I think perhaps an attack roll at +15 from the Elemental against Erilon & Koeth to see if either of us is hit?

Why +15?
What factors were used to come up with that number, would it be higher or lower for the elemental?
The block is inanimate, while the elemental is living.
The block is set and left there, Lamina summoned the elemental.
The elemental is falling on two of Koeth's square, so would the elemental have two attacks against Koeth?
When the elemental lands where will koeth and Erilon be standing, because they can't share the space? If they move do they provoke AoO?
Do Koeth and Erilon lose their dex bonus?
There are probably other factors I'm not thinking of, but I guess it doesn't matter. I don't have to roll to know the results Koeth dead, Erilon standing untouched

Before reading your post I was going to offer to not crush the gem and do something else that doesn't change the state of the match (possibly even nothing)

 I am just going to change his action, to avoid all this hassle (Since a solid attack or save DC can't truely be determined.) I will just change it to something so that he doesn't become visible (so it doesn't change Orbis's move.)
