Hi! I'm new to this place, So, placed to meet you all.

Well, now to the On-Topic Stuff:

I'm beginning to create a new campaign setting and I'm planning on making a society based on Egyptian culture. I don't want it to be the same as Egyptian, not even accurate for that matter, I just want it to feel Egyptian.

I've been wondering, Is there anyone who's got some Egyptian treats from which I can inspire? Maybe some Prestige Classes, Magic items... whatever should be welcome n_n.
As a side note, I'm also maing socieies based on Middle east, Asian cultures, native american cultures, Aztecs, Mayas, Incas, all that too, Some nordic stuff as well, and the always-to-be-there Medieval European stuff. So any income on this societies (specially for in-game materia( Should be quite helpful n_n.

Thank in advance to all of you!

Sorry I don't have specifics, but here are a few pages I occasionally frequent when looking for similar flavors.

For finite types, like human beings, getting the mind around the concept of infinity is tough going.  Apparently, the same is true for cows.

Maybe check out Jaerc's prestige class: url for a Egyptian-flavored class.

I like Sandstorm fairly well, when I was doing D&D.  There's plenty of monsters, magic, and classes that are go for that kind of setting.

Make chariots a big thing to get that sand and sandals-type feel.  Oh, and, uh pyramids, mummies, and sphinxes.  And curses.

I hope this helps.

I can make some classes for you if you want... hmm...

But apart from what they've said above, I don't think I can help you. ;)

Creating a society that isn't a copy of a real world culture, but feels similar? I generally like to do this by extracting relevant elements and playing with them out of context. I know very little about ancient Egypt, but that's never stopped me before! Let's close our eyes and think about that culture. We'll brainstorm and make a list:

Ancient Egypt
-desert
-impressive, improbable architecture
-reverence for the dead
-annual river flooding makes agriculture possible
-were there snakes? I guess there were snakes
-polytheism, animal-heads
-royalty supposedly directly descended from gods
-complex pictoral language, looks neat when carved in stone

We could keep listing stuff, I guess. But once I have a list, I do my best to forget I was thinking about Egypt to begin with, and just start looking at the stuff I listed, thinking of ways to recombine and exploit those elements. The idea being that the end result will be scrambled and expanded enough so that people won't read it and say "Hey, that's just a fantasy version of ancient Egypt," but it will have enough similarities to be reminiscent of ancient Egypt, while having a creative life of its own.

I was born in Peru and lived there most part of life, so anything you want to know about the Incas (I suppose historical events you can find online, but I guess I can help you a bit more with ways of life or y'know, knowledge you just won't find in books) just PM me and I'll be glad to help ;)

luminous crayon's advice is a great starting place for your egyptian setting; i believe there's a setting or two with egyptian flavor somewhere around here, too.

for the mesoamerican settings (aztec, mayan, incan), hellraiser, snakefing and i are all good people to turn to. my major setting, Xiluh, is intended to be along the lines of a general mesoamerican setting, so feel free to take some inspiration from that, too.

best of luck, and happy worldbuilding!
