Memory Fading PbP Chapter One: A Day After Fire

[ic=Crow]We head for Sardatown if I am correct. I do not have a mount as of yet. How many plan to ride?[/ic]

[ic=Cyyn]"I can walk as well as any, but I haven't had many chances to ride as of yet. I will take a horse if I can, to brush up on my skills."[/ic]

[Captain Obvious]

[ic= Dura Bochak ] "I would more like to walk, but if speed is best, i will ride." [/ic]

[ic=Crow]Its been a long time since I've had to ride, and I cannot ply my craft well on horseback[/ic]

 [ooc] how far does it say sardatown is on the map?[/ooc]

[ic=Fizz] "I see no reason to walk when the captain is providing us with horses.  Besides, we'll get there faster by horseback than by walking, and the sooner we get there the sooner we can figure out what's going on." [/ic]

[ic=Timothy "Gray"]"I dislike riding, at best, as I will make it no secret horses make me uncomfortable.  However, I would ride rather than be left behind."[/ic]

[ic=Fizz] "Well, I guess if most of us don't want to ride, we could walk.  It would take longer, but if everyone is uncomfortable with riding, it could put us in danger."  He turns to Captain Greybeard, "What do you think, Captain?  It would mean that you could keep the horses here, and you'd haev them in case of an emergency."

"Horseback would be faster, but if it comes at the expense of teamwork, I'll gladly give it up."[/ic]

[ooc]It's going to take us a heckuva lot longer to get wherever we're going on foot guys. And if we end up in a fight, we could always dismount, to avoid mounted combat, if that's what you're worried about.  And we have two or three Ranger/Druids who could calm/catch any spooked animals.[/ooc]

[ic=Naoise]"I normally don't ride," says Naoise as he gets out of his chair, "but we require haste, like."

He turns to the others, "Arra, you aren't afraid of some feckin' horses, no?"

He sighs, "Dere's three ways we can do tis lads: we can either all walk, all take horses, or," he looks at Fizz, "we can split up into two deams.  One group goes ahead on horseback and scouts the area, while the other catches up on foot."  Naoise pauses in thought for a moment, placing his hand on his chin.  "Does anyone have a wee bit o' parchment?  If we split up, we're gonna need at least a rough copy of the map, so we will."[/ic]

[ooc]Just some suggestions.

I'd still like to know what exactly we have to work with, in terms of everybody's classes...[/ooc]

[ooc]Let's all ride and get this over with.

And Timothy Gray is a level 3 Rogue[/ooc]

[ic=Fizz] Taking the initiative, Fizz reaches forward, grabs the map from Captain Greybeard's hand, and turns to everyone else, "I agree, we're just wasting time here.  I've got the map, I saw the horses stabled outside, I'm leaving."  He walks past the others and out the door.  He looks around, trying to remember where it was he saw the horses.  At least, where he thought he saw the horses...

"Well, so much for teamwork.  I hope everyone doesn't get mad." [/ic]

[ooc]I demand action!

Or at least a little movement, anyway.[/ooc]

[ic= Dura Bochak ] Dura follows Fizz to the door then, with Koda at his side, he walks out. [/ic]

[ic=Cyyn] Cyyn checks to make sure he has everything he needs, then follows Fizz and Dura out of the tavern[/ic]
