Seriously. Swords are not to be taken lightly.

The following educational films contain gore and occasional inappropriate language, but it is worth it, if the dangers of swords can be brought to light.

Remember: Just don't touch swords.
I move quick: I'm gonna try my trick one last time--
you know it's possible to vaguely define my outline
when dust move in the sunshine

Indeed... I, too, have swords for decorative purposes.  Now, though, I know they will "cut your f&^%kin throat wide open."  Thanks, LC

For finite types, like human beings, getting the mind around the concept of infinity is tough going.  Apparently, the same is true for cows.

Raelifin

I clearly need to go buy those books.

Swords don't kill people, people kill people!

Ishy, I care about your safety. Which is why I beseech you: don't &*%$in' touch swords!

I find your indifference towards swords suspicious!

I, too have learned a valuable lesson.

Could it be? Sparkletwist is actually a sword in disguse?

[spoiler The Ballad of Bilbo Baggins]In the middle of the earth in the land of the Shire
lives a brave little hobbit whom we all admire.
With his long wooden pipe,
fuzzy, woolly toes,
he lives in a hobbit-hole and everybody knows him

Bilbo! Bilbo! Bilbo Baggins
He's only three feet tall
Bilbo! Bilbo! Bilbo Baggins
The bravest little hobbit of them all

Now hobbits are a peace-lovin' folks you know
They don't like to hurry and they take things slow
They don't like to travel away from home
They just want to eat and be left alone
But one day Bilbo was asked to go
on a big adventure to the caves below,
to help some dwarves get back their gold
that was stolen by a dragon in the days of old.

Bilbo! Bilbo! Bilbo Baggins
He's only three feet tall
Bilbo! Bilbo! Bilbo Baggins
The bravest little hobbit of them all

Well he fought with the goblins!
He battled a troll!!
He riddled with Gollum!!!
A magic ring he stole!!!!
He was chased by wolves!!!!!
Lost in the forest!!!!!!
Escaped in a barrel from the elf-king's halls!!!!!!!

Bilbo! Bilbo! Bilbo Baggins
The bravest little hobbit of them all

Now he's back in his hole in the land of the Shire,
that brave little hobbit whom we all admire,
just a-sittin' on a treasure of silver and gold
a-puffin' on his pipe in his hobbit-hole.

Here's to axes for decorative purposes. :drunk:

I wonder what Mr. Frist would say about the sport of fencing?  I could be in a lot of danger...

SDragon

Here I was, not even a week ago, debating on whether I wanted a Buster Sword or an Odachi as my first decorative sword. I had just settled on getting a cheaper option, a twin pair of "elven" swords, when I saw this.

Now I know better. Swords wil f*(^ing cut me wide open!

And now, to talk my friends out of joining swordgangs...

You could, but boy, would that not be pretty.

Uh, not that it would be pretty with a sword, either... x(
