Basic Info
Derunas 2.0 is a high magic setting, with some technologies developed such as zeppelins, a crude steam engines, and "robots," which are much like Inevitables from teh MM, except not always with that purpose.


Theology
The creation of Derunas began eons ago, beyond the stars which we now call home. It all started with a divine being, whose name is unpronouncable and forgotten. It had lived before the Creation, when the First Clocktower was built. It was lonely, and required company in order to pass the infinite time without going insane. So, it created the Old Ones to accompany it. They too, are lost to time. Now these each were creaed with a power and a purpose, to aid it in the spread of life throughout Derunas. During the task, our modern gods and avatars were created. SOme of these were corrupted by the knowledge that Chaos introduced. They rose up against their makers, and sealed them away after a long war. It was neutral, and attempted to stop all of its children from fighting. In the end, Chaos claimed it and it is sealed in a chamber deep within Chaos.

Explanation of the basis of Derunas theology: It is one of the most powerful divine beings known to exist. It is beleived to be a good, lawful being. Chaos was created at the same time as it, by an unkown power, and Chaos hid inside it by using Chaos' powers of treachery. The Old Ones are an order of beings more powerful than the modern Gods and Avatars, but far less in numbers. It is beleived by historians that there were 11 Old Ones. The modern deities are classified into different categories: God-Emperor, Greater God, God, Lesser God, Minor God, Avatar of the Holy, and Avatar of the Condemned. God-Emperor is the third highest title, and rules the Greater, Regular, Lessur, and Minor Gods. The two highest titles are of the same regard and power: Avatar of the Condemned and Avatar of the Holy. These are the most powerful gods that are no longer agents of Good and Evil, but essentially are Good and Evil. God-Emperor is commonly held by a neutral god. It requires an increasing number of millenia of constant search for power to gain rank.


  Cosmology
Derunas is made up of many planes.
These are: The Dark Plane, The Astral Plane, The Hells, Chaos (The plane of Chaos is also an entity), The Heavens, The Material Plane, Fire Plane, Air Plane, Earth Plane, Water Plane, Thunder Plane, The Clockworks, and many more.
The Dark Plane is a place of pure shadow, where evil thrives.
Chaos is a bit confusing, it is a living plane.
The Thunder Plane is simply a never-ending sky full o storms. You can walk on the clouds, and there exist cities, dungeons, and much more inside of these stormclouds.
The CLockworks is where time and order is kept, with the First Clocktower as its central castle.

Samurai: A warrior devoted to the law, who lives for honor and would die before dishonor.*Vanguard: An extremely mobile class, a combination of the 3.5 Scout and the 3.5 Ranger.*Dynamo: A scientist, utilizing both magics and technology. They are naturally gifted, and are essentially a more advanced, sorcerer to the artificer's wizard.

Elemental Warrior: A planar warrior who draws his powers from connections to the planes.*Avatar: A soldier of good or evil, these are usually divine casters devoted to the cause of the Avatar of the Holy, Avatar of the Condemned, or the God-Emperor

These are the greatest powers on Luminaria, the others are not much of a threat to any of these.



Harvunhiil is an elven territory, though the elves have lived there for many millenniums, it is not their ancestral home.
Sardonil is the most powerful human territory, and though run mostly by humans, it is a very diverse state.
Fenrin is the ancestral home of the Aalin.
Gjish is a dwarven territory.
