As almost everyone knows, the 4E version of the arena has become defunct in Xathan's absence.  Since the idea of a sparring ground for characters is a staple of the D&D community here at the CBG, I intend to rebuild the thread and let the games begin again.

My plan's primary fail-safe is the inclusion of multiple DM's in the process of running games, so that if one user disappears for a while, the whole system doesn't come crumbling down.  Seraphine Harmonium and Poseidon have already offered to help in this regard, and if or when the need arises, I will issue the call for new volunteers.

The second point will be the beginning of scheduled fights to ensure that games take place regularly and with minimal trouble.  By setting a dater for combat, characters that are already built can be registered and take part with minimum fuss.  Since most fights in 4E are designed to end in about 5 rounds, most fights can take place and end in one week, perhaps a little more for something complicated, allowing for minimum commitment and therefore less player drop-out.

The last point that I wish to bring up is wiki integration.  Unfortunately, I'm not wiki-literate, and integration of Player stats and a Fight schedule into the wiki would prove invaluable to this operation.  If someone with wiki skills would be willing to volunteer their time to help, it would be greatly appreciated.

So, who's with me?
