[ooc] You two are about 50 ft away from the smith, and about 60 ft from the bulk of the mob. Senk is 5 ft from the smith and 10 from the bulk of the mob. Your actions need to be decided upon quickly since that poor robot is about to be crushed.[/ooc]

[ic=Kaine] "This guy is going to get himself killed" Kaine drops the half eaten fruit and starts to move toward the smith and mob. As he moves forward he flexes his wings to make the cloak fall away exposing them to the air once again. [/ic]

[ic=Isu-dras]Isu-dras' eyes widen slightly as he watches the smith raise his hammer, and the sheer shock from the man's bluntness and brutality proves to dampen his reflexes.[/ic]

[ic=Smith] Just before he begins his swing, he looks up to see a tall winged humanoid bearing down on him. At this he drops his hammer and yells, "what are you people?" before falling to his knees and begining to desperately pray while muttering, "Oh sweet lord, forgive me. I knew not it was under your protection. I was wrong. Forgive me.." [/ic]

[ic] The rest of the mob, as well as many of the bystanders, start muttering amonst themselves and the are cries of "an angel" and "oh lord." There are also those that don't look so sure but they are also holding back in the crowd. The warforged is now lying on the ground and you notice there is only a faint glow coming from it's eyes, and one of it's legs is broken off below the knee, exposing pistons and gears.[/ic]

[ooc]As a note, anytime your character is "looking around", or "keeping an eye out for..." in this case, just make a spot check to go along with it, just as a default. As it sits now, spot check please Rael.[/ooc]

[ic=Kaine] Humans are a strange race. "Why are you going to destroy the living body?" Kiane points to the smith. "Do you want to be tried for murder?", he says as he continues to close the distance between them.

[ooc]What are the laws here like? Fair trails or public hangings without question?[/ooc]

[ic=mob ect...] The smith doesn't answer but continues to mutter to himself. From the rest of the mob, there are some scattered shouts of "it's not even alive" among other things. The smith glances up and asks, "what is it you want? What did i do wrong? It wouldn't be murder. The thing isn't even alive." [/ic]

[ooc] The laws are similar to what we have (i.e. supposedly a fair trial), as long as it is not deemed to merit special attention by the higher levels of government. Those people frequently just dissapear.[/ooc]

[ic=@ Gugaba] Most of the mob and the crowds of bystanders are handing back, but watching closely. Nothing seems too strange, and there are no signs of redcloaks (the local watch guardsmen).[/ic]

As the raptorian stuns the mob, Isu-dras watches the newcomer with quiet surprise and confusion.

This is no celestial being...but I do not know what an angel is, either...either way, it is helping me, and that is a favor I must return.

Listening to Kiane's words, Isu-dras steps up alongside the raptorian, their bodies in sharp contrast of one another. "Do as he says, but before you go, ask yourselves what being 'alive' truly means. This warforged," he gestures at the crippled construct, "may not breathe or bleed, but it thinks and learns for itself, does that not make it alive? Isn't being 'alive' simply a definition of an entity's own self-awareness? If so," the asherati glares directly at the blacksmith, his head tilted down to allow the man to look directly into the black pupils of his otherwise white eyes, "then you are murdering this warforged by robbing it of its own sentience. Think about that." [/ic]

[ic= @kaine and isu] At your words many of the crowd start nodding their heads and mutturing while a large number of their comrades slink off solemnly. Their is still a significant crowd there but all the spite seems to have left them. [/ic]

As you scan around the crowd, all appears to be fine until you notice the large numbers of black robed individuals scattered throughout the crowd. This wouldn't seem particularily out of place, but there are quite a few and they seem to be making strange gestures and motioning to people down the assorted side alleys and further down the road behind you.[/ic]

[ic=@kaine and isu] As you glance over at the crowd, you notice large numbers of black robed individuals scattered throughout the crowd and many are making strange gestures and motioning to people down the assorted side alleys and further down the road behind you. As you look down the nearest side alley, you catch a glimpse of red moving towards the open marketplace.[/ic]

[ic=Kaine] This is what I get for helping suicidal people, Kaine thinks to himself as he watches the cloaked figures moving around him. Kaine pops the cover off his scroll case and pulls out a repair light damage scroll. He begins casting it trying to fix some of the warforged's damage.
