This will take several posts and will be quite long. I will not be offended if you elect not to read this work.

Part one: The Book of Nyzanim

In the oldest of times, all that was and all that would be rested within the three-fold spirit of the Nyzanim, the wholesome all of universal truth. The spirit swirled, its three selves swelling and swimming as one, until their harmonious togetherness settled and their eternal bond became strained. It was the first of three, the Spirit of Time, who noticed first his incandescent self, and was the first to take a name. Evermore, the Selfless Spirit of Time was known as Pakh, and he roused his brother spirits.

The second of three, the Spirit of Space, became aware of his brother Pakh's blistering white form, and took upon himself a darkened shroud of nothingness and void, seizing the name of Kethon for himself. Within his bounds, the Selfish Spirit of Space was intertwined with his brothers, and struggled at his bonds.

The third of three, the Spirit of Life, was brought to consciousness upon his brothers' awakenings, spurred to mindfulness by Pakh and Kethon's cautious, swirling selves within the Nyzanim. The last of the three Great Spirits to be awakened to the Spirit of Self, he swayed and shook at the coasting tides of Time and Space. Content, though wrapped and bound within his brothers' spirits, he took no name for himself, so Pakh and Kethon offered both a name. It was then that the spirits so entwined would see their boundaries of self tested and tightened.

'Call him Opakh,' spoke Pakh the Ancient, clasping both his brothers' spirits within the Nyzanim. 'For though Space contains all Life, Time is what gives direction.' To be Opakh was to be a part of Pakh in the words of Nyzanim.

'Call  him Kethoni,' spoke Kethon the Vast, gripping both his brothers' spirits within the Nyzanim. 'For Life cannot exist in Time alone, and without Space it bears no meaning.' To be Kethoni was to be a part of Kethon in the words of Nyzanim.

The unnamed spirit of Life remained the same, taking neither name as his. Tethered still to one another, Kethon and Pakh sought to gain their brother's favor, and molded gifts from themselves to give to their unnamed brother. When both had finished, they spoke again to him.

'Opakh, look,' spoke Pakh the Enduring, holding only Life. 'I give to you the gift of Passing, so that you may look at all my glory and see my name is great.' He gave to him the Sight of Pakh, and the third spirit of Nyzanim then saw with eyes of Time.

'Kethoni, look,' spoke Kethon the Transcending, grasping only Life. 'I give to you the gift of Body, that you may feel and breathe and be.' He gave to him the Body of Self, and the third spirit of Nyzanim then felt with form of Space.

Pakh saw this as a great trick, and spoke to Kethon of the matter. 'You say to Opakh, '˜This is body, so that you may be.' Are you now Arbiter of Being, who swells and denounces both his brothers' realness?'

Kethon's grip on the third spirit of Nyzanim grew tighter as he spoke. 'I shall take that title as my own, and say to Pakh the Untimely that if he possesses not a body, then he is not a being. Surely he is something, but Kethon and Kethoni know not what.'

Pakh and Kethon turned to the Spirit of Life to settle the dispute, but Life went on, unnamed and blissful in the face of Time and Space, the only link between the feuding brothers.

When Time and Space began to tear Life in twain, it was then that the third spirit of Nyzanim spoke in quiet tongues, his body and eyes fixed upon the whole of Nyzanim. 'I am Kethoni and Opakh, and I am also neither.' The Riddle of Life had been uttered, and it confused both Time and Space; they pulled each even harder, and tore the Spirit into three.

Pakh held the spirit Kethoni, who had body but no eyes, and could not see the Time that had consumed him. Pakh tore the name from Kethoni, and instead would call him Morvos, which was to be Death and Dead in the words of Nyzanim.

Kethon held the spirit Opakh, who had eyes but no body, and could not feel the Space that had enveloped him. Kethon stole the name from Opakh, and instead would call him Naivus, which was to be Unborn and Birth in the words of Nyzanim.

The third of three Spirits that were ripped from the Spirit of Life then took the name of Nabora, and named herself the First of Six, the highest in number of Spirits, Form, and Time. Nabora had both body and eyes, and would hold neither Time nor Space, having been hurt and torn by their unwholesome greed. Her jagged edges and her forced smile caused both Kethon and Pakh to covet her.

It was Kethon who would win her heart, for he had offered her dominion over Naivus, and Nabora became the ruler of birth and birthing. Pakh the Jealous offered her the rule of Morvos, but Nabora did not accept the title, causing Pakh to burn with white fury. Pakh challenged his brother Kethon for Nabora's love, but Kethon would not accept.

Pakh coveted Kethon's title as Arbiter of Being, and coveted more Nabora's love, which had been given freely to Kethon. In his jealousy, Pakh commanded Morvos to slay Naivus and steal his eyes, but Morvos rebuked the Spirit of Time. In his rage, Pakh swallowed Morvos, and Death became an aspect of Time. Pakh now held a sightless body, but knew that in all things, he was both Morvos and Pakh, and was also neither. So the Spirit of Death and Time took the name of Cazil, which was to be the End of All Things in the words of Nyzanim. Cazil, in his deathly glow, sought Nabora and Kethon, hoping to in entropic throes to end all things.

But Naivus saw through Cazil's plot, and spoke in time to save both Nabora and Kethon. Kethon and Nabora joined together, as Kethon folded her within himself, causing bursts of light and matter to spring forth within his form. Naivus shrouded Kethon's form and Life was birthed anew, swirling and sprouting across all of Kethon's cosmos, divided into the Great Lights known as Ashimil, the sacred world of Perann, and the empty void of Voravil, all to hide Nabora from Cazil's deadly scheme.

Cazil saw through the shroud of Naivus, and pressed around the Spirit of Space with all his might. 'The End of All Things,' Cazil spoke, 'is but a Matter of Time, and soon Nabora shall succumb to Death.' Cazil's bursts of deathly light became manifest as Xanav, neither Morvos nor Pakh, but still an aspect of Cazil's self.

And so it was that Time and Space had created the realms of Life and Death, opposed in all yet unified in the words of Nyzanim.

To hide herself in the times of Cazil's rage, Nabora birthed the triune spirits of the Naborine, known to those in later times as the Spirits of Life. The Naborine were of Nabora, and yet were not Nabora's self, wholesome and unfulfilled in all they were. Gifted by Kethon with bodies in space, the three Naborine took names not known to Nyzanim, formed instead from Perann, the sacred world where Nabora hid. The first of three brother spirits of the Naborine and of Perann was Qaliman, whose mindful nature and learned self formed the waters of Perann.

The second of three brother spirits of the Naborine was Washar, whose fearsome body and sturdy self formed the earth and soil of Perann. Though the waters of Qaliman would crash upon Washar's limbs, neither brother held contempt and neither wished to harm their brother spirit. In harmony, the spirits lived and pulled and pushed, oblivious to Cazil's threat and joined by love for Nabora, for Perann, and for forgotten Kethon.

The third of three brother spirits of Perann and of the Naborine was Maruson, whose soaring spirit and freest self formed the skies of Perann. Though the waters of Qaliman hung as clouds in Maruson's form, and though Washar pressed against his brother spirit in the older days, sky and earth and water maintained a triune harmony, content with all and loving still. It was when the rays of Xanav's deathly glow struck Nabora that the Spirit of harmony and love would die.

The brother spirits of Naborine were lost without their mother, and Maruson was first to act, forming the spirits of the Soraed from the Clouds of Qaliman, the Water of Air, to act as a bulwark to his older brothers' coming rage. Although the Soraed were of Qaliman and of Maruson, they answered only to Maruson's name, serving the freedom of sky and self. These spirits held mind and soul, but had no body with which to do.

Qaliman, out of fear, stole from the Swamps of Washar, the Water of Earth, to act as a bulwark to his younger brothers' coming insolence. He formed a tribe of mud and marsh and gave these spirits the name of Daimar. Although the Daimar were of Qaliman and Washar, they answered only to Qaliman's name, serving the depths of mind and self. These spirits held body and mind, but had no soul with which to feel.

Washar was last to act, his stony, stubborn hide scalped for Qaliman's need. And so Washar stole from Maruson the sky-peak of Verizor, for which he named the spirits that he forged from it. Although the Verizor were of Washar and of Maruson, they answered only to Washar's name, serving the power of earth and self. These spirits held body and soul, but had no minds with which to think.

The War of the Daimar and Verizor was sparked not by these rival groups, but once again by Xanav, who now had taken the name of Xanaviel, meaning the Fear of Death. The Washar now were great in number, splitting and joining each other as they mingled on the shores of Qaliman, but the Daimar had spent endless ages of Time learning the secrets of their selves and of the world. And though the Daimar had the eyes of Nabora, they could not see the treachery of Cazil, seeing only the Passing of Time that Pakh had once embodied. When Xanav stole Arathok, whose name had been favored most by Qaliman, the Daimar thought the Verizor responsible for such treachery and misdeed. And thus the War of the Naborine was soon enjoined, with Daimar and Verizor fighting mindlessly and mindfully along the coasts of Qaliman and Washar.

Though the Daimar were of mind, their war was waged with slow and empty thought, for bravery and courage were alien to them. The mindless war against the Verizor was for the preservation of self, and leaders soon emerged from Qaliman's ranks. Menthok, second son to Arathok and prescient ruler of all the spirits of Qaliman, sought an end to war, willing to risk extinction of the Verizor. Cazil laughed at the Daimar's plight, and Xanaviel was sent to offer aide. A pact was made between the Daimar and Xanaviel, and Menthok and Xanaviel took the heart of Naivus to forge the spirit Uanos, a morphing shadow of hate and fear.

The Soraed sent their elder, who took the name of Vunaie, to tell the Verizor of this evil, but the Verizor trapped the spirit in a cage of blood and earth, stealing Thought and the Words of Naborine from the wounded spirit. It was from Vunaie that the Verizor developed minds, and turned the power of their blood into a spirit known as Iralune, the Ancient Craftsman of the Swords. Iralune took the earth of Washar and forged three shining blades, trapping Vunaie within the swords of Azakun, Bunathil, and Valorix, splitting the Freest Soul of Maruson into the Spirits of Knowledge, Love, and Wisdom. Gifted with the power of the mind, the courage of the heart, and the wisdom of the spirit, the Verizor defeated the forces of the Daimar before the spirit Uanos could turn the tide of war. Driven to the deepest pits of the ocean, Menthok and the Daimar cursed the name of Xanaviel and ousted him from the oceans of Perann, turning the spirit Qaliman, and the home of the Daimar, to a sea of frozen ice. The frozen waves of Qaliman were perilous to the Verizor, but the Verizor now claimed the lesser waters that Qaliman had bled. Now fractured and unmade, the frozen depths of Qaliman were named Tybalth-Nur.

The Verizor, now filled with greed, sought to steal the power of Maruson, against the protests of Iralune. Three selfish Verizor took the names of Aasaga, Isorga, and Usurga and wrote in blood the Book of Rim, which named and defined the Spirits of the Soraed. With names and forms, the Soraed took bodies of great power from the earth and sea, and punished the Verizor for their crimes against both Vunaie and the other Soraed. Gifted with the name of Buronius, the son of Vunaie and ruler of the Soraed could not unmake the Swords of Azakun, Bunathil, and Valorix, nor could he unmake the Book of Rim. Instead he plucked the heart of Naivus from Uanos, the clinging shadow of the War, and used its power to demand fealty from the Verizor. The Soread then wrote the Book of Vel, limiting the spiritual magic of the Verizor and punishing Iralune for his theft of power. Iralune built the Blinding Gate between the Realms of Washar and Maruson, a structure that obscured the Eyes of Pakh and forbid the Verizor from peering. Asaga, Isorga, and Usurga were taken into the Realm of Maruson for punishment, and in their place the Verizor created the Mevarian, overseers of the Verizor and guardians of the Blinding Gate.

Buronius, given the title Krio, meaning King of All He Sees, then commanded the Mevarian to watch over the Verizor, as the Soraed would travel across the vast expanses of Kethon, searching for Naivus so that his heart could be returned. With his heart in hand, the Soraed did not fear the sight of Xanaviel, who could not harm greater Spirit of Nyzanim.

And thus the Generations of the Verizor began.

Part Two: Generations

These are the Generations of the Verizor.

In the Time of Buronius, the Mevarian sprits gave new names to the Spirit Swords in the language of the Illumirim, taken from the Book of Rim and spoken by the Verizor. And so the Swords of Iralune became known as the Vartuman, as Azakun became Orretuman, Bunathil became Arteituman, and Valorix became Soretuman. The Verizor then gave names to the Mevarian, naming the wisest Learinthicus, the most intelligent Lazerosaad, and the most compassionate Lutriuven. As the guardians of Wazan Gath, the Blinding Gates of the Soraed, the Mevarian were first feared by the tribe of the Verizor, who had come to live on all the lands of Perann.
With the Soraed departed and the Daimar defeated, the Verizor stood alone along the shores of what were Qaliman and Washar, and soon the roaming nomads of the Verizor settled in their lands. When what was Washar became settled, the tribe of Verizor gave it new names, and took for themselves new names as well. Learinthicus used the Eyes of Wazan Gath, the wisdom gifted to him by Krio-Buronius, to make the Spirits of the Winds, to guide the Verizor and grant them the direction that Cazil had rescinded in the oldest days. These Spirits of the Wind, the Sanozil, were Dalaz of the North, Vanash of the East, Bola of the South, and Urat of the West, and they were the first of three Spirit Guardians forged by the Mevarian.

With the Sanozil as their guides, the Verizor divided their land and tribe in three. The whispers of Dalaz and of Vanash informed the Isoniir of their new name, and they then named the colder lands near Tybalth-Nur, the lands of Cazjinoor. A curtain of frost and mountain soon built along the winds of Dalaz and hid the land of Cazjinoor from an earthly view.

The cries of Bola and of Urat were heard by those who sought and coveted what mysteries were shrouded in the lands of Cazjinoor, and these covetous members of the tribe of Verizor soon took a new name upon themselves, that of Dalivor. They moved to where the southern seas of what was Qaliman met the coasts of Washar, the living legacy of the squandered victory of Iralune. The Dalivor named these coasts Evalzur, and the winds of Bola flattened the land so that all could see the glory of the Dalivor.

The remaining Verizor, those who did not heed the call of the Sanozil, called to the Mevarian for protection, fearing both the mystery of the Isoniir and the pride of the Dalivor. Lutriuven, with the kindness gifted to him by Krio-Buronius, created the seven spirits of the Sashaval, the powerful forest spirits that grew along the borders of Cazjinoor and Dalivor, to protect the third tribe of the Verizor from harm and from mistrust. These spirits of the forests were Azanath of the sprites, Wilathet of the meadows, Norastrim of the trees, Dravenus of the fields, Insori of the morning dew, Santhet of the fungi, Qonus of the mighty beasts. These protectors gave the third tribe of the Verizor the name of Auraiel, and were the most beloved of Lutriuven.

And so the Auraeil settled within the forests of the Sasahvel, naming the forests Sashavellus, which in the words of the Verizor meant to be of the forest and within the forest. When Lutriuven and Learinthicus gazed upon the works of the Sashavel and the Sanozil, they were pleased, for the Spirit Guardians had maintained tranquil balance. With the intellect gifted to him by Krio-Buronius, Lazerosaad saw with the Eyes of Wazan Gath that the Spirit Guardians had split the Verizor into three, and roused the Mevarian to this alarming truth. The Mevarian looked into the lands of Washar and saw that the tribes had taken names not of the Verizor. Lazerosaad recorded them as such:

Of Isoniir, the winds of Dalaz and of Vanash favored Isenget, who spoke to them and held their truths. Isenget was blessed by their fortunes, and blessed were his sons. The son of Isenget the Verizor befriended Dalaz, and took the name of Dalazon, which is to be of Dalaz yet not Dalaz in the words of Isoniir. Dalazon was named the First of All the Isoniir, Favored by the Sanozil, and took the name of Cuthol-Neth, which was to be blessed by all the winds in the words of Isoniir. Dalazon Cuthol-Neth was thus the first Anointed Child of the Wind, whose line continued for ten sons. The sons of Dalazon and their sons were as such: Oulan-Neth, son of Dalazon, Cathan-Neth, son of Oulan, Lanthos-Neth, son of Cathan, Cathan-Lanth, son of Lanthos, Sanvus-Lanth, son of Cathan, Dusul-Lanth, son of Sanvus, Dusal, son of Dusal, Ansul, son of Dusal, Ithrim, son of Ansul, and Kandos, son of Ithrim. The sons of Dalazon Cuthol-Neth were wise and strong, but lacked the knowledge of the earth and stone.

Of Dalivor, the winds of Bola and of Urat warred with Zathulex, who envied the fortune of Dalaz and of Vanash. Zathulex was cursed by their rebuke, and cursed were his sons. The son of Zathulex slew the winds of Bola, and took the name of Bolazul, which is to kill Bola and yet become Bola in the words of Dalivor. Bolazul was named the Last of All the Dalivor, Cursed by the Sanozil, and took the name of Wuxar-Vath, which was to be cursed by the winds in the words of Dalivor. Bolazul Wuxar-Vath was thus the first Killer of the Wind, whose line continued for six sons. The sons of Bolazul and their sons were as such: Unar-Wexar, son of Bolazul, Nesar-Unar, son of Unar, Pathus-Nesar, son of Nesar, Ulthux-Pathus, son of Pathus, Kraxus-Ulthux, son of Ulthux, and Cathruz-Kraxus, son of Kraxus. The sons of Bolazul Wuzar-Vath held might and knowledge, but lacked the wisdom to rule and lead.

Of Auraeil, the Sashavel gave new names to all who spoke their tongue. All of Auraeil was gifted with longest life and freest spirit of all the Verizor, and thus the Auraeil became the sons of Sashavel. Counted chief among them were the fourteen Greatest Roots, servants of the Spirit Guardians and beloved of the tribe. Sons of Auraeil were long-lived, and thus their generation numbered one: Auarain and Daleias of Azanath , Enitoer and Cosalin of Wilathet, Saskanel and Asheneit of Norastrim, Unari and Lucindus of Dravenus, Cunathel and Niolet of Insori, Tranchelair and Iconid of Santhet, and Nistrum and Coliquel of Qonos. The sons of Auraeil held wisdom and great knowledge, but lacked the strength to leave their rooted home.

The generations of the Verizor would soon end as war arose in the lands of Washar. Though the heart of Naivus had been plucked from the clinging shadow Uanos, a new wraith of War and Hate would soon arise.

Part three: Zovolen

The Daimar had given Uanos a body of Washar, a mind of Qaliman, and the heart of Naivus in the days of the Naborine, when War was first begotten. Though Naivus was not cruel, the Heart of Naivus longed to return home, and was corrupted into hatred and misdeed. When Buronius cut the Heart of Naivus from the shadows of Uanos, the shadow of war had receded, hovering above the ice of Tybalth-Nur. But as the Verizor began to split, the empty heart of Uanos filled with lust and greed, and the shadow longed to be fulfilled. No longer wholly Uanos but still of Uanos, the shadow took the name of Zovolen, which is to be without Heart yet longing for a Heart within the words of Tybalth-Nur.

The Mevarian had been blinded to the shadow by the Eyes of Wazan Gath, as Lutriuven, Learinthicus, and Lazerosaad exchanged words on the divisions of the Verizor.

'To be compassionate,' Lutriuven had said, 'we must create a Guiding Spirit which will ease the minds of the Verizor.'

'To be wise,' Learinthicus had said, 'we must create a Spirit Wall which will ease the passions of the Verizor.'

'You both have created your spirits, and both have failed to ease the Verizor,' spoke Lazerosaad. 'Through the Eyes of Wazan Gath, I can see to know what is best for Verizor, for Mevarian, and for Soraed. Leave me this task and I shall succeed.'

Lazerosaad then begot the third of three Spirit Guardians, the Azkanix, spirits of great knowledge. The Azkanix were nine in number, and held an ordered rank, with each given names and realms by Lazerosaad: Nerosaad of Soread and of the sky, Ikensaad of the sea and of Daimar, Talisaad of Verizor and of the earth, Vulensaad of words and of walls, Pythensaad of minds and thoughts, Orosaad of souls and spirits, Luridsaad of wisdom and of sight, Sisalsaad of space and of time, and Xeivorsaad of life and death. To understand the Azkanix was to understand the forces of Perann, and Lazerosaad sent his Guardian Spirits to the Verizor.

The Isoniir heeded the words of Talisaad, of Vulensaad, and of Sisalsaad as sacrosanct, and used their knowledge to build great palaces for both Azkanix and for Kandos, who named himself Krio-Anjolus, which is to be the Knowing King of All He Sees in the words of Isoniir. It was then that the Isoniir were not of the Verizor, and the peaks of Cazjinoor wept with tears of ice. Dalaz and Vanash told Learinthicus of this truth, but none were moved to act.

The Dalivor took the words of Nerosaad, of Pythensaad, and of Xeivorsaad as threats to self, and used their knowledge to build great weapons to war against the Sanozil. Cathruz-Kraxus took the name of Krio-Santoliz, which is to be the Deathly King of All He Sees in the words of Dalivor. It was then that the Dalivor were not of the Verizor, and the fields of Evalzur screamed with hateful winds. Urat told Lazerosaad of this truth, but none were moved to act.

The Auraeil heard the words of Ikensaad, of Orosaad, and of Luridsaad and were moved to pious life, respecting all the Spirits and their kin. From the Azkanix, they obtained the knowledge of their self, and grew apart from the Dalivor and from the Isoniir, their hearts and minds and souls all rooting them to the Forests of the Sashavel. They named the spirit Azanath as Krio-Azanath, which is to be the King of Forest Sprites and All He Sees in the words of Auraeil. It was then that the Auraeil were not of the Verizor, and the forests of Sashavellus fell silent as the winds no longer swayed. The Sashavel told Lutriuven of this truth, and he looked on in horror with the Eyes of Wazar Gath.

'Brother,' spoke Lutriuven to Lazerosaad, 'the Azkanix have severed all the bonds of the Verizor, and now Washar shall tear itself apart!'

'Lutriuven,' spoke Lazerosaad, 'do not question the Realms of Knowledge, for they shall prove to save Washar from peril and from Xanaviel.'

And so Lutriuven showed Lazerosaad the cloud of Zavolen that hung above the Dalivor, the withdrawn thinkers of Auraeil, and the hubris of the Isoniir. Lazerosaad spoke no further of the matter, and Lutriuven then turned to Learinthicus.

'Brother,' spoke Lutriuven, 'the Azkanix will bring war and fear to all of Washar, and have already split the Verizor!'

'Lutriuven,' spoke Learinthicus, 'do not fear for Washar, for the Sanozil shall guide the wisest of the land to settle all in peace and wisdom.'

And so Lutriuven showed Learinthicus the storm of Zavolen that grappled all of Washar, its empty heart longing for the hate of Isoniir, of Dalivor, and of Auraeil. Learinthicus spoke no further of the matter, and Lutriuven then turned to the Blinding Gates.

'I shall seek the Soread, to warn them of this evil,' spoke Lutriuven, though none could hear him go. With a flash of Wazar Gath, Compassion fled from Perann as Intelligent sons and Wizened fathers prepared to go to war.

Zovolen learned to shape his form to please those to whom he spoke. In the lands of Isoniir, he was of stone and grit, and spoke with whispered words of jewels and names of iron. Zovolen convinced Krio-Anjolus to give away the souls of all in Isoniir in the name of War for wealth. In the lands of Dalivor, Zovolen was of sand and silt, and spoke with whipping words of dust and names of smoke. Krio-Santoliz  gave freely the souls of all in Dalivor to Zovolen in the name of War for power. In the lands of Auraeil, Zovolen was of soil and root, and spoke with thunderous words of grain and names of oak. Krio-Azanath, lost without the love of Lutriuven, gave begrudgingly the souls of all in Sashavellus in the name of War for wilderness.

And though he held the souls of all the peoples of Washar, the heart of Zovolen remained as empty as before. The blood of all who were the Verizor began to flow along the lands of Washar, as the Sanozil and Sashavel and Azkanix turned to the Kings to serve as Generals. The Dalivor destroyed the homes of the Isoniir, while the Isoniir stole from and killed the Auraeil. The Auraeil pierced the Dalivor with the weapons of the Azkanix, and soon Zovolen had swallowed all.
Learinthicus and Lazerosaad had pleaded with the Spirits, but the calls of the Mevarian went unheard within the cloud of war. Learinthicus hid the Vartuman beyond the Blinding Gates, for through the Eyes of Wazan Gath he saw what Zovolen would become if he held the soul of Vunaie. Without the Vartuman, the war continued onward, strengthening the hold of Zovolen.

Lazerosaad left the Eyes of Wazan Gath at the Blinding Gates and spoke to Zovolen. 'From where comes this Spirit, made of War, who seeks only to fill his empty heart?'

Zovolen spoke in blood with names of violence. 'Knowledge has its price.'

'There is no Knowledge to which I do not hold,' spoke Lazerosaad.

'You covet then the Knowledge of my self? I do not give it without a price,' spoke Zovolen.

'Whatever price, I shall pay,' spoke Lazerosaad in tongues of flame.

'Then behold,' spoke Zovolen, plucking from Lazerosaad the Heart which comes with Knowledge. 'I am of Uanos, and of Daimar, and of Soread, and now of Mevarian.' With blood and souls and beating heart, Zovolen cast Lazerosaad into warring Washar, into the stain of Perann.

The Blinding Gates of Wuzan Gath opened from outside, and Learinthicus stood idly by, for there was no wisdom in this war except to stay above it. Returning from the folds of Kethon, Krio-Buronius entered the skies of Perann and trembled with great fury. Lutriuven was in his arms, murdered by Xanav.

'Enough,' spoke Krio-Buronius in the tongues and words of all Washar, taking all the Vartuman into three strong hands. From Zovolen he took the souls of the Spirits and of Washar and tore them from the Shadow of War, piercing them with light. Zovolen struck back in hate, blinding Buronius with his claws of malice, and Buronius cursed the name of Lazerosaad as he plucked the Heart of Knowledge from Zovolen. Scarred and defeated, Zovolen withered and rotted, burned into all Washar by the light of Buronius. Using the Vartuman, Buronius split Washar into three, scattering the pieces across what were the seas of Qaliman.

The Tribes all praised the name of Krio-Buronius and held him above all other Spirits, and he returned the souls of those who were the Verizor. He swept away the Sazonil and the Azkanix, and commanded all the Soread to watch over sky, sea, and earth. Buronius cast the soul of Lazerosaad outside the Gates of Wazan Gath and shut them with great force, and renamed Learinthicus as Learthus, which is to be of Learinthicus yet less than Learinthicus in the words of the Soread. The body of Lazerosaad, despite the curse of Buronius, lived and yet did not, for now he thirsted for blood as though Zovolen. He took the name of Lazarus, which is to be of Lazerosaad yet less than Lazerosaad in the words of the Mevarian.

Buronius buried Lutriuven in the Forests of Sashavellus before, alongside the Soread, he began his rule of the sky, seated on his solar throne.
And so began the Buronian Age.

Song of Ishgen
This is the song that was sung by Ishgen, son of Anjolus, when he gazed upon Buronius:

O, Lord of Suns and Prince of Sky
Savior from the scourge of war
Who speaks in tongues of joy and flame
Whose Eyes see through the gates
O, Lord of Souls and King of All
   Returned from saving old Naivus
I seek to know your joy and flame
And bask in all your radiance

The skies did part, and shadows grew and twisted in their light, as Buronius looked down upon Ishgen with great humor. And in the Tongue of Isoniir, he did speak in song:

Command do I not war or pain
To all who praise my name
Command do I not boon or gain
      To those with acts profane
To whom does my blessing go,
      With soul of righteous place?
To whom do I speak to now,
      With eyes upon me fixed?

Ishgen rose and looked into Buronius' great crown, blinded by his glory.

O, Lord of Light so Pure and Bright
      Blinding in your grace!
   Humble servants are my kin
      Of your resounding face
We seek naught but great thanks
      For your mighty deeds
And to know who serves the gods
      And what are their needs?

Buronius then spoke as such:

In times of War, I slew the beast
That threatened all peace and still
Supreme am I, and yet the least
      Compared to great Cazil
Of Death and Time, I am no King,
For I have seen true hate
The task of all who dare to sing
      Is to guard my gate.

Ishgen, torn by fear and joy, then sang with his heart:

I am yours, sweet Lord of Light,
In life, in death, I serve just you
I implore you, Lord of Light,
      As sure as shadow slew:
   Tell me all of Soread,
      Of gods and of sky
I shall preach your story and
      Hold your name as high.

Buronius, moved to passion, said with fiery tongue:

   Luria, brave Queen of Night,
      The Mistress of the Moon
With her silver hair and light
      Shields the midnight tunes

   Calixet, with valor set,
      Guards the Armory
With his hands he does protect
      The stars and harmony

   Keoginax, of rotted bird,
      His heart decayed and black
Was wounded and was thus deterred
      By Cazil and his pack

Last of all, my favored son,
      The Grey Prince Dethinus
Heir to throne of flame and sun
      He shall make commands
   When all my kin,
   Generation,
      Finish our cycle.

And with great praise, Ishgen recorded those names of Soread which Buroinus had spoken, and praised the Lord of Day and Light for sight and for great deeds.

I've only read part 1 so far, but I really enjoyed how you wove together all the different aspects of Time and Space. It seemed to me that the Creation Myth is very similar to how the real world started, if you know, we had Spirits of Time and Space :p

Also, Cazil is a really neat name.

There are an unfortunate number of typographical errors in this work, so rest assured that any accidental misspelling of names is just that- accidental.

I have finished part one and skimmed the other two and will give them more in depth readings later. I love creation myths and this one is really good. I love the symetry of the number three and how you tie so much feeling and passion into the myth. Great job.

Thank you for the positive feedback. I am currently writing the second section of this, which will follow one of the three emergent peoples and their interactions with the Soraed. The other two groups will receive similar treatments later.

The account that posted this was my alt, that was a long story. Here's the first follow-up to this (the creation myth of Red Valor), from the second volume of Origins (the collected myths of the Red Valor world; all of the previous posts by Jack of Hearts encompass the first volume).

Volume Two: Of Dethinus

Part one: The Journey of Three Days

In the Age of Buronius and in the land of Evalzur, Dethinus, son of Krio-Buronius and heritor to the Soraed, was made flesh through word incarnate, as was recorded in the Book of Rim. In those days, Naxus-Kaz ruled all the fields and valleys of Evalzur, and the blessings of Buronius and all the gods shone upon the land. In preparation for the Millennial Cycle of the Soread, which prophesied all that was and all that would be, Buronius had commanded Dethinus to walk the broken lands of Washar and learn the customs of the Aurizor, which was to be from the Verizor but not of the Verizor in the words of the Soraed. And so Dethinus took the body of the Sacred Oracle, offered willingly, and took the name of Sathon as he walked the lands of Evalzur.

On the first day, Sathon descended upon the realm of Evalzur, and set upon the roughshod paths to learn of the subjects of Naxuz-Kaz, ruler of all the fields and valleys of Evalzur. As he passed into the village of Akan-Nuet, Sathon spoke to all the villagers, asking each who they revered and what they sought. For each, the answer was the same: "I revere the God-King Naxuz-Kaz," the villagers would say, "and hope his Grace shall gift us with water fit to drink."

To each, Sathon would ask, "Would you renounce your reverence for Naxuz-Kaz if I could bring you water?" And each would answer, "Yes, most readily." And so Sathon went to the Akan River upon which the village had been built, and placed his hands within its waters. There, he found the God of Poison, Keoginax, and spoke in Heavenly Tongues:

"Foulest Brother," Sathon said to Keoginax, "why do you curse these people so?"

"They do not honor me with sacrifices," spoke Keoginax. "I hunger for their praise."

In the oldest times, when the Verizor had wrought the Book of Rim, a Great Hunger known as Garaz-Urat fell upon the Soraed. The Soraed, when beyond the Gates of Wazan-Gath, could feed upon the Light of Pakh, but after returning to Oranea, they required sacrifices from the Races of Washar to quell the rise of Garaz-Urat. Sathon promised to his brother that he would speak to the villagers of this.

Sathon returned into the village and saw that an idol of Naxuz-Kaz had been erected. With a hand of flame, he turned the idol into ash and spoke in words of thunder: "I am Sathon, Oracle of the Soraed, who speaks with Spirits because he walks among them. Those who worship Naxuz-Kaz shall suffer under his yoke, for though he holds power above you, his might is but a flicker to the holy radiance of the Soraed. Can Naxuz-Kaz tame the heart of Keoginax? He cannot, and yet I have. Offer Keoginax your sacrifices and hold the names of all the Soread as holy, and your water shall be fit to drink."

The people fell onto their knees and praised the name of Sathon, of Keoginax, and of the Soraed. Sathon left, content that he had settled the dispute, but mourned that he had coerced the village of Akan-Nuet into truth and faith.

On the second day, Sathon was captured by the tribe of Dethin, who took their name from Dethinus himself. The Dethinites took him to their leader, the Priest of Dethinus, who in those days was known as Prio-Akinus, which is to be the Highest Seer of Things To Come within the words of Evalzur.

Prio-Akinus spoke to Sathon. "Do you have faith?"

"I do," Sathon said to Prio-Akinus. "I have faith that there is good in Evalzur."

Prio-Akinus brandished his sword, consumed with the flames of Calixet, and spoke again. "Do you have faith in Dethinus, and do you offer him your life as sacrifice?"

"I cannot," spoke Sathon. "Such offers cannot be coerced."

Prio-Akinus took the sword to Sathon, who then revealed the Holy Face of Dethinus. As Prio-Akinus cowered in fear, Sathon seized the sword and struck down the priest. Sathon then turned to the Dethinites and said, 'Trust no priest who wields a sword. The only worthy priest of Dethinus is one that shall hold nothing in his hands, for he will know his life belongs to Soread.'

The Dethinites fell to their knees and begged Sathon for forgiveness. Sathon left, content that he had bestowed wisdom to the people, but mourned that the Dethinites had been coerced to truth and faith falsely in his name.

On the third day, Sathon came upon the home of Antal-Set, said to be a faithful man to all his neighbors, and faithful to the Solar Throne of Buronius. As Sathon approached the fields where Antal worked, Dethinus Made Flesh observed a sacrifice of cattle made to Krio-Buronius. Moved by such diligence, Sathon then spoke.

'Do you offer the weakest sow to Buronius, who is unfit to eat or milk?'

When Antal gazed upon the face of Sathon, he was moved to tears and joy, and spoke as such: 'No, O Holy One, I offer my greatest sow as sacrifice to Buronius, and seek to please his countenance.'

'And what,' spoke Sathon, 'would move you to address me so? Am I not a man, as you or any other?'

Antal-Set then knelt before Sathon and spoke. 'I need not the Eyes of Wazan-Gath to see divinity when it walks before me, for none within the lands of Evalzur possess the grace of the Nyzanim. I humble myself before Your Grace and ask your forgiveness for my transgressions.'

Sathon placed his hand upon the shoulder of Antal-Set and spoke. 'Krio-Buronius, the Solar King of All He Sees, is pleased with your piety and your humble honesty. Of all of Evalzur and Aurizor, you are worthy of the blessings of the Soraed, and your faith shall be rewarded.'

Antal-Set wept again, withdrawing from the touch of Sathon. 'I am unworthy of your noble words, and of the Grace of Soraed,' spoke Antal-Set with great shame. 'For all my humble prayers, I have great selfish need of the help of the Soraed.'

'You hold great faith in the Soraed,' spoke Sathon, 'even when it appears your prayers and pleas have gone unheard. Do not weep, Antal-Set, for such is the truest faith, and your name shall be worthiest of all in the words of Soraed. Blessed is your house, and blessed will be your sons, the future kings of Oranea.'

Antal-Set knelt and praised the Soraed. Sathon left, content that he had found a noble soul among the Evalzur.
