Does anyone have a link to that post that explained IRC?

Between this and Nomadic's interviews, I maybe need to look into it. Oddly a forum search for "IRC" didn't turn up anything.

A search of "chat" does turn up some results.

Basically, though, what I did was simply google "mIRC."  The program is a free download and takes very little time (it asks you to register after 30 days but doesn't require you to).

To access the CBG sever/channel, I'll quote an old comment of Ishmayl's: [blockquote=Ishmayl]Go to Tools> Options

On the left, open up the "Connect" sub-menu, and under "Servers," click "Add." Then, in the box for IRC Server, type " irc.otherworlders.org ". Give it a description (like CBG Chat or something), and hit "Add."
Now, back on the main "Connect" menu (where you gave yourself your nickname), click the "Connect" button. Once you've connected, type " /join #theCBG " That should do.[/blockquote]
