It's good.  Came out the same year as Diablo 2, and is in Pseudo-3D with item physics (things shift, move and bump off each other).  It suffers badly from metal syndrome, which is a term I use to describe the Copper < Bronze < Iron < Steel progression used in RPG's to give more apparent diversity in their equipment without having to stop and think for one second of their lives.

Oddly, "Silver" weapons appear, in spite of silver being useless as a weapon's material.  Bronze appears to be the most superior material.
