For finite types, like human beings, getting the mind around the concept of infinity is tough going.  Apparently, the same is true for cows.

can anyone give me a definition of "slash" (meaning, "slash culture" or "slash website", not "Slash" the guitar player or "slash" the verb) that's a few sentences long? the Wikipedia entry is just too much.

Im guessing it means... Nerd?

To my understanding: Yaoi/Yuri.

As in, gay.

It's fanfiction that pairs up two males or two females in sexual roles, where in the canonical fiction, those two would not be paired up.  Or, more simply, it makes straight characters gay for added sexuality in the fiction.

*Ahem* Anyhow.

Am I the only dude on the boards keeping up with a regular DC book?

If you know which titles to follow, it's not have as bad as the craziness of Marvel.

I'm keeping up with 52 (which finally has something happening), Batman (Grant Morrison constantly rocks my world), JLA, and Detective.

Did my weekly readings.

Flash #4: Still good, although Griffen is getting on my nerves a bit.

52 #21: Enough with the space plot. More Infinity, Inc.

Amazing Spider-Man 535: Amazing, as the title suggests. Restores a glimmer of faith of Marvel in me. A glimmer.

Trials of SHAZAM! #2: A little confusing, but good. The art has a unique feel to it.

You know, seriously? He is acting like the exile's evil iron man.

The entire civil war thing seems kinda rushed and doesn't make sense. Like the characters were reading a script which read "and now you fight each other!"

Also, iron man is nothing compared to Reed Richard's "I'll build a prison! in the cthulhuian horror of the negative zone! for all my friends and kids caught superheroing!"

Except Iron Man helped him do it.
And he, Reed, and Hank cloned Thor, for god's sake!

Dude, I'd clone thor if i could man. that means nothing. I mean, i'd clone him to rock out and throw up the horns, instead of kill on command, but that's just details.
SA

The only comics that really appeal to me are Sin City and Sandman.  At least Gaiman and Miller know when to kill off a character; don't superheroes ever die???
