Astell and Victor led the party up the zig, checking out the area. Burnous found a lot of gnoll tracks.

Tribin and red gerin have both climbed to the seat of heaven
50 feet in front of the group, the large human knight in red scale armor stands with a scimitar
his arms crossed
Hamish and Max seem wooden and indecisive

* MazAbd nudges Hamish

MazAbd-" you know this guy best, eh?"
Hamish, " I like magic...and Candy"

the knight seems in no hurry, but he stands in the middle of the road

Moss-" Hello, there. My friends tell me they know you."

knight starts walking towards you

MazAbd-" you must be the, uh... well, the Red Knight"

MazAbd looks at the armor
Modo tries to keep a few steps back from the others, observing.

Red KNight, with an ironic tone." Aye, one could call me that"
"I come to give you tidings from the Witches"
MazAbd-"witches..?"
"The cultists have grown in numbers", The Knight continues.
"But been pushed back from the central ruins all the same"
MazAbd-"that... does not bode well at all, friend"

MazAbd leans to Moss and mumbles

MazAbd-"did you know about the witches..?"
Moss-" I think I heard one of them mention them."
The Knight continues "Nay, the conflict grows."
" A pair of elves, if I remember right." Says Moss, " We were supposed to be fetching... something for them."
The red knight shakes his head,"But you are not to worry about the farm. I and Gralleen have taken care of that"
MazAbd-" ah, right..."
Moss-" So it was the Cultists then?"
MazAbd-" we... promised to do something. whatever we can"
"But beware as you close with the ruins, the numbers of both sides seem increased"
" Aye, the filthy cultists", says Max
'What, exactly, did you do?', says Moss, 'The family that owns the farm was looking for some closure.'

the warm sun is in conflict with the coldness of his naked hatred

'I and Gralleen hunted them down. They are....resting all over the farm."., says the Knight
' Very well.', says Moss, nodding. 'Their actions say the deserve no better.'
Wurnick, "our friends match our enemies in harshess"
Moss shakes his head 'Nay, Wurnick.' 'Killing a child and killing a child-killer are entirely separate animals.'
MazAbd-' agreed, Moss. these cultists worship death? then we shall gladly send them to their own'
'Very well,' says Moss, 'We shall deliver the news to the family when we see them next.'
Wurnick, "Death and veangance'¦Where shall it end?'
Cameleye, " Aye, the right decision"
MazAbd, 'with any luck, Wurnick, it ends with your healing'
Max, " I am mighty"
Wurnick, " I have scrolls aplenty, Maz"

Red Knight, "The ladies have seen fit to give you some of their well-grown Merrig" He steps forward. He is not overtly large, but his armor covers his whole face, and the metal makes almost no noise.
Wurnick, " A healing herb"
The Red Knight, handing everyone a small pouch with an electrum chain " Wear these around your off hand. There are 4 merrig blossoms each inside"
MazAbd nods, and says with gravity, ' our thanks'

Hamish, " I like magic. and Candy. And herbs"
Moss-' Give them our thanks as well.'
Wurnick, " This is quite a gift. Things are that bad near the ruins?"
The red Knight bows. " Friends, you have been stirring this anthill well. Consider it a compliment,"
MazAbd-' if they wish to compliment us, they are welcome to surrender'

Cameleye chuckles, as does Heddle

the group turns around and heads back to the south road
Back to the main road south
the sun is high, and the spring air is warm
after an hour, the group hits the south road
the moors are wild, and bird song erupts here and there as the group turns south

Moss and Max should still have theirs, and Camelye, Maz, Carmen, Heddle and Boyo's bodies, as well should have had them

Currently, the explorers are in the central room in first level of the ruins, under the zigurrat.
Map
the group is mainly healthy, looking for more information on the cultists and beastmen, while also mainly taking care to find some more statuary.

The group has seen evidence of the toll the strange Hauntings have had on Max. He's grown somewhat withdrawn, given to long bouts of introspection.
Toden has also grown more serious. Moss, by contrast, has grown into more of a decider, and he and Moss have grown into more combatants to aid Max.

OK, that was old-school.
3 gnolls set up an ambush for the loud and talkative party of adventurers...
(hint)
despite brave Bonatos the Dog Brother getting his head split open by a Halnard, the group acquitted well. With Max on the wandering path, the fact that Astell is living the meat-shield/knight dream, as well as Triske and Smiggle steppig up is great.

Good night. We stayed on for hours.

If everyone from SIG were on there, and could make SIG-related announcements, that would be cool. Of course, it would also be pretty much like this thread, just more easy to access.

I really need to remember to cast Amplify Healing more.

you do need to remember that on the front line guys.
But so far, you are healing well. The fortification curative spells, BTW, have the lowest initiatives.

I will need to pick some of those up when we go back to town. I didn't actually read through all the healing spells when I made my character and I don't think I looked at initiative at all.
