Points? I thought we were using the standard array?

Anyway Dragonborn give a +2 to Str. I didn't want him to have a high intelligence or wisdom, so I had a 12 and a 13 left. Either way I get a high Str. Though a 13 Con would give me 1 more HP...

This is correct.  Technically, the standard array is a pre-made point buy.  Anything in that character creation chapter is fine.

You're right, you have no need for high int, but a higher wisdom might be beneficial to the party (better perception). But you know what? Ignore me; starting with a 15 is optimal for a rogue, as it allows you to get to the necessary 17 Strength for Light Blade Mastery at epic without spending stat boosts, and it allows you to get the nifty Suprise Knockdown feat (if you score a critical hit while you have combat advantage, you knock the target prone). Admittedly, that's more of a thing for the Thug rogue (which is why it has such a high Str requirement), but you're able to get it without stressing your Point Buy points for the high strength score.

So don't mind me, carry on.

Hey, what does everyone think about my choice of Paladin/Warlock? The intention is I can open up important fights with Divine Challenge (minor) and Hellish Rebuke (standard); since I attacked, I'm considered engaged for my mark. If the target attacks anyone else, they'll take radiant damage, and if anyone attacks me the target will take fire damage. I call it "damned if you do, damned if you don't".

Neubert: I need more information on your characters goals and relationship with other NPC's so that I can weave you into the story more easily.  Look at the 10-minute background again and revise accordingly.  If you need help, PM me.  Also, give me a shrt blurb about your appearance as Poseidon and Seraphine did, even though the latter was a bit verbose. :-P

I'll make the IC thread and the accompanying premise on Sunday night.  Game officially starts on Monday.  If everyone could try to make (at least) one post a day, that'd be great.  If you feel you're interest in the game waning, contact me immediately so that I can prep a replacement.  This game will not die.

Crotchety old man: VERBOSE?! In my day we had to write at least 10 pages of character notes/backstory while walking uphill in the snow for five miles (blindfolded)!

In any caseI am looking forward to it.  For this next week my internet access may be a bit irregular, but I think I can get access once a day. It is possible that I may miss a day though, and if that causes any delays, I apologize in advance.

I just found out that I am flying out of town Monday through Wednesday. I do not like this as I do not like flying. Just letting you know...

In other news, I was quoted by the DM for being right.  That makes me temporarily "the man."  Or, at least, it did until someone else posted.

I didn't really say anything about my character's appearance and yet I wasn't mentioned above.  How odd.
