Names can be decided later. I'm personally in favour of calling it reflex.

Saving throws do not need a stat, IMO.  Hell, saves do not really need to de subdivided.  If you take some time to glance through the PHB, you can pull any number of examples of save types that could go logically to another type.

I agree.  I am even fine with those names, since they are what they are.

There is the back and forth on LUCK, which though I am not 100% behind, it would be the ideal mechanic for all saves, plus VP = WP *(toughness mod + luck mod) has promise.

SPIRIT = NO
LUCK = MAYBE.
BOTH = NO.
NEITHER = Yes, with the afforementioned reservation.

Saves idea: Straight ability checks.
Luck for whatever you really don't have control over (like a flat-footed reflex save).
Also "saves" in opposed checks. Like a strength save against being bull rushed.
Just a thought. Could use further development.

I like the idea of luck being used for saves and VP/WP, like CyMRO said.  My vote is identical to CYMRO's.

I vote for neither.
If I had to live with one, though, Spirit.  I don't like the idea of luckiness being tied to a stat.  I want Luck to be reflected in actual rolls.  I want to roleplay my luck.

If stats are going to have an effect on skills or saves, then there ought to be at least one non-physical stat. So I guess consider that to be a vote for spirit. (Call it Spirit, Mana, Force, Talent, whatever.)

I don't mind Luck, although I'm not sure if it needs to be a basic stat, or a secondary one that you can buy up with XP.
