[ic = Kevkas]  He whispers to the two beside him (Almax and Dain) and says, "Hows about we get him back? We all seem good enough for the job, and hey: theres a big reward in it! Why don't we get that ..umm...what do you call it? To help us. We could use the help, that is if you two are not too chicken?" He then yells to the crowd, "How about this: Us three and the, ...umm... warforged I guess, seem about right for the job. We'll investigate into who really did this. If it was the lizardfolk, they could attack again at any moment. You're town needs you to stay behind and guard it, as it seems you are some of the best fighters here. And besides, what would you think your Lord Frederick would want you to do: Chase after the lizardfolk on a whim that they took him and maybe get yerselves killed; or would he want you able-bodied men to stay behind and protect the town form other invaders? We will get him back for you, I promise." He then bows to them, and as if  an afterthought adds, "Besides, even if you are doing this for the reward, if all of you earn it how much will each of you actually get? A couple copper pieces at the most is my guess." Diplomacy roll (with bonuses) = 26 [/ic]

Yes I will join you in finding the true culprits. Almax addresses the crowd. He's right what if they attack again while you search for them? Who will stop them then.

[ooc] I hope you don't mind, but I prefer to use an offsite dice roller. Its called invisiblecastle, and is pretty good (though lately it's been rolling on the low side). I like it because I can find my rolls without looking through the thread to find them. All the rolls are made under the same name, so you would only have to click on the name in anyone of the links provided to see most recent rolls. (I don't cheat, but it is good to catch people that do. DM's over on the WotC PbP have found many and made invisiblecastle a required dice roller.[/ooc]

[ooc]I have no problem with Invisible castle. Neither do i have one with just using the roller on the site. It's all just a matter of preference. For that matter, i don't have a problem with you rolling IRL, just so long as you list the roll, modifires and total when you post it (and of course be honest).
As for UJ names, there are generators floating around. I believe i used a random generator for mine and then altered it a little bit. I don't quite recall though.[/ooc]
 [ic]Many of the crowd seem to be agreeing with what you said and there is much discussion occuring amongst them. Then Jorik speaks up, and you notice his large friend has returned in the company of 3 others - a gnome and two more humans, one man and one woman.
 They make a very good point. However, we couldn't possibly allow them to undertake this alone. My allies and I will accompany them. Leave this to us.
The turning back to Ankh he says  "What say you, my large metal friend?
At this point several other members of the crowd begin calling out that they will go as well. Much fewer that before, but at least another dozen assorted people.[/ic]

[ic]The crowd of remaining people seem to agree wiht this idea and en mass beging to head towards the city gates with you. In addition to the halfling and his 4 companions, the others seem to have split themselves into 3 groups - four, four and five. They are walking ahead of you and the halflings allies, who are much nearer to you.
You manage to get a better look at them now. In addition to the halfling and the tall unshaven warrior-type, there is a slightly shorter man with bright red hair and robes the clour of aged wine. He walks with quite a swagger in his step, as if he own's whatever place he may be in. The woman is dressed in clothes that seem to be made of long black and purple lengths of cloth that are wrapped around her. There are always some ends dangling loose, but her graceful movements cause them to never seem to get in the way. The gnome wears a set of very utilitarian leather armour that is covered in extra straps, buckles and pouches. He has a dour look on his face, a large curved blade at his side and a strange gauntlet on his right hand.[/ic]
 [ooc]If you guys wanna know about the other groups, just state who you wanna know about and likely move closer. Also, for anyone who has of takes "knowledge [whatever]" and you are curious about any aspect of the world that lies in the field (even if it does not derictly pertain to you situation) just say what you are wondering what you know about and make a check. This is cause anyone who lives in this world and has knowledge ranks would already know lots of random facts about stuff that doesn't neccesarily have to do with your current quest.[/ooc]
