Shadow's Rising PBP (IC thread)

[ic]Most of the people in the group seem to think this a reasonable idea, and those that want to simply forge ahead begin immediately demanding to be part of the scouts. A few people have volunteered to make the camp - Emirkol included amongst them. Jorik speaks up,  "We should arrange to have some signal to send up if we find the lizards. We'll also need to pick the groups. Kevkas, why don't you come with Kaebo and I. And you as well, Tinman. Hey, Dorian. Why don't you and Mikael go with Ky and the dwarf - sorry, i didn't catch your name.
At this point the well-dressed orc Dain quarreled with back in town breaks in.  "That's quite enough Jorik. We can make groups ourselves. I will lead one. Who goes with me? Moran and Dukaine, good, and you, the quiet one in the hood," he calls out to Almax,  "you'll come with us as well."
A large man, wearing a suit of armour of the Eltabaran army that has seen better days, yells out at this. "I will not be in a group with a Grobak!" [/ic]

 [ooc]Anyone who knows orchish recognises "Grobak" to be a terrible insult the roughly translates to "savage" or "throwback", although the meaning in orchish is far worse.

Also, what languages do you all speak? I can only find Almax's.
When i finish the setting there will be specific languages for regions instead of racila ones, but for now just use the standard dnd racial languages.[/ooc]

And the guy talking is a full-blood orc, not a half-orc. Orc are fairly common and accepted. They are frequently viewed as a primitive and backwards culture because they live as nomads and have a warrior culture based on individual stength for a large part. Honor and reputation are very important though.
Half orc and elves and whatnot, are fairly uncommon, but also can be between pretty much any race. not just humans and others. All half-breeds are done on a case by case basis. [/ooc]

Jorik, Kaebo, Kevkas and Ankh

Kolchak (the orc), Moran (a short dark haired man wearing a long coat), Dain and Almax (have you told them your name at any point during this? or are you being secretive)

Ky, the woman in the wrapped clothes,  an elf with vines twinned into his hair, and a female halfling wearing a simple brown dress.

Dukaine, a bald dwarf in merchant robes, and two more humans, one male wearing leather and one female in blue robes.

Staying at the camp: Emirkol, a female gnome, a male hobgoblin, and 3 more humans - 2 male and one female.[/ooc]

[ooc]Semi-regular. Certain times it'll just be a breif cahnge before i go back to what i was before. But i do change it permanently every now and again.
I was "Supadupaman", then "the poster formerly known as supadupaman" (just a series of symbols), then "Captain Obvious", then "Team Discovery Channel".
This current one was sparked by somethign in the taverna and will likely just be brief before going back.[/ooc]

I say we all go in almost opposite directions, so we don't bumb into eachother while we search. If anyone finds anything, come back to the camp. Emirkol will then cast a light spell up in the sky to show that one group has found something." [/ic] [ooc] I am assuming Emirkol is a wizard/sorceror/something like that and has some sort of spell to that function in his repitoire [/ooc]
