Steerpike

I had a lot of fun with it.

I'd love to get involved as the featured author at some point, but can't really over the next two weeks (going to Las Vegas for reading break).  I might still be able to make it to a session in the next two weeks but wouldn't want to commit as an author in case I couldn't show up.

Polycarp

Nomadic recorded a transcript, which he said he's going to work with a bit and post at some point.

It's in the full logs... but I will post it here as well for your amusement.

QuotePolycarp: Well, Auk Yrta Su'u's cogs have only her programming now
Polycarp: The Unfeathered Legion does whatever she wants.
Polycarp: Their original programming is probably long gone.
Nomadic: she's the psycho queen right?
Polycarp: The World-Queen, yes
Steerpike: aka Ewok Hitler
Nomadic: rofl
Nomadic: omg
Nomadic: now I am never going to be able to take her seriously
Polycarp: lol
Polycarp: That should probably be my new screen name
Nomadic: I am going to ever after imagine her as an ewok with a hitler moustache
Polycarp: Well, it's not a horrible comparison

Looks like last night was an overwhelming success!  I hope we can keep this up!  Some Afterward-type thoughts:

- I love the formatted transcript!  I doubt I would have been able to read the entire log, but the transcript was a fun read.  I hope that continues! ;)

- Polycarp, you have a great mastery of your own material that makes me jealous.  I often realize that my work to me is like WoT to RJ - he always said in interviews that sometimes he would forget a character's name, or important location, and have to look it up - that's how I am with Memory Fading.  You just seem to know every reason for the why and how of Clockwork, and that's amazing!

- I think for the next time, I'll advertise what's going on in a News article about 2 days before.

- I think this is a great way to completely revamp/reinstate/destroy-and-rebuild the old Setting Showcase!  More people came to and participated in this event than ever with the Showcase, and that's very promising to me.  I foresee us being able to even schedule these chats potentially with other Alliance sites, maybe even have similar PlotStorming and Cartographers Guild chats (if you guys would want to, that is).

Anyway, fantastic event last night, I hate I missed it, but I will do everything in my power to make the next one!  Who's next?

Edit: Okay, it seems that unless I am misreading things, only Nomadic has expressed interest in being questioned (most of the responses have to do with last night's interview of Polycarp.) I'll add my own name to the list, and so should you, dear reader!

I should probably do a bit of a write up on my setting. It's been alot of stream-of-consciousness and I have alot in my head. Need to get it down where people can see it.

Matt Larkin (author)

This really does look great. Kudos to everybody, especially Nomadic for the log.
