Quote from: Ninja D!That mage should be able to put on the hurt. Having a bard around should be nice, too, since isobot hates allowing us to make our rolls on our own.
anything helps.
but that is kind of how the bardic skills work...

Old, evil, twisted, damaged, and afflicted.  Orbis non sufficit.Thread Murderer Extraordinaire, and supposedly pragmatic...\"That is my interpretation. That the same rules designed to reduce the role of the GM and to empower the player also destroyed the autonomy to create a consistent setting. And more importantly, these rules reduce the Roleplaying component of what is supposed to be a \'Fantasy Roleplaying game\' to something else\"-Vreeg

There is a reason why so many successful characters have been bards.  They can fight they can cast, they do ok in scholar, and they can also make everyone around Them better.

I played with a Max once. Then there was a slaughter.

I played with a bard once. Then there was a dragon.[/blockquote]
Well, it takes a while before they are really good.  They only add the amount thye succeed by in thier skill to all abilities that are affected.  So at lower levels it is less helpful.
But if you take a Bard with basic Song L5/12% and Arcanic Bard Sub L3/12% it gives a combined 24% of ability...so if the Bard rolls a 10%, all spell skills are at +14% (24skill-10roll) for the next 20 seconds.
Bards can also use their skills at 50% effectiveness while fighting...so they don't have to choose to use bard skill or to fight.

Only once?  I thought there was a bloody trail following Max.

in all seriousness, TMG is taking a break with Max, who started as a bit of a simple character but who has become one of the more interesting, doom-ridden PCs in years.  Right now, I have Max wandering on the surface of the ruins with a Bag of raw bacon, Bagels, and a wine skin with benshin Brown in it.

I will be travelling all over the universe, but still should be able to make the scene on Tuesday evening. Should be an important session.

Llum, I know you are going to want to raise a new servant or 2, since your last ones re-bought the farm.

I will be busy as well, but should get to the session regardless. Might be a little late.

limetom

Though I've told Vreeg, I'm moving tomorrow. I should be fine to play, but just in case I'm letting y'all know.

Yeah, this sounds like one of those sessions where we get a little late start but go on late.

It's cool.  I'll deal.  No stress.

In other news, flight to bwi is friggin 2hours late leaving.
Had to remove someonevfrom a job.
Have to give a sales training tomorrow .

Ninja D!

My plans for tonight didn't work out so I'll be on time.

Limetom seems unable to stay in any one place for long.

limetom

It's kind of interesting that me and Vreeg generally end up going crate digging during the games for music.

It isn't over yet and Astell is in rough shape while I have no way to heal him. It doesn't look good. I'm hoping we can end it before anyone goes down.

Also, I had my first spell fail.

Hey, and we hope no more spells fail.  Astell does need more help.  Not out of the woods yet.

Ninja D!

Is any XP gained for a failed spell? Just thought of that.

Within a couple of sessions, I should be able to gain another level in Spirit SP. Then it's probably time to let something else have a little more XP once in a while.
