[ic=@kaine] As you cast the spell, most of the damage done to the warforged dissapears, but there is still no movement from it and it's leg does not return. [/ic]

[ic=@everyone] as the redcloaks make their prescence known and move out of the alleys in force, you notice that the black-cloaked individuals have slunk off. As the redcloaks form a cordon around the market you hear someone - was it that halfling? you can't tell - yell out "redcloaks! scatter," and while most of the crowd stands around looking nervous, several people, including much of the mob, begin running for the now blocked alleyways, while others clamber onto the roofs of stalls and then onto rooftops. From a few points around the ring of red you hear unnaturally loud voices bellow "Stay where you are. We are here to round up the perpetrators for questioning, and to recover the damaged property of the state. That is all. We repeat. Remain where you are."[/ic]

[ic=Gugaba]The keen goblin freezes and hopes his small size will keep the redcloak's eyes off of him at least for a little bit. Glancing around to see if anyone is watching, Gugaba slowly tries to slip into a dark corner or a crowd.

Damnit! I hate these situations. Nobody ever says "Oh, a goblin? Why, he couldn't have had any involvement with this!"[/ic]

[ic=Isu-dras]Glancing about, Isu-dras curses his bad luck under his breath. "This is not good." He openly says to Kiane, his balance shifting between his feet as he tries to find some loose sand. "You might want to use another one of those in their presence. Otherwise, they will think we're the ones who harmed this warforged." [/ic]

[ic=Kaine] Kaine thinks about it for a moment, and then takes another scroll of repair light damage out before closing the scroll case again[/ic]

[ic=@everyone] The redcloak cordon is now starting to split up. Of those of the crowd who tried to run through, some got away but many were stopped and had their hands bound, whereas the most violent were simply clubbed to the ground. Individual redcloacks are now walking over to the groups of bystanders and begin questioning them. A tall man with the stripes of a sargent as well as another with a corporal's stipes overlain with an eye are now approaching Kaine and Isu-Dras.

"People are saying many thing about you two. I've heard you attacked the mob, you started the whole affair, and you ended it. Some have also said you both attacked and save the 'chine. Which of these is it? Also, I see you have quite an armory on yourselves. Might I see your charter."[/ic]

[ic=@Gugaba]Some of the Redcloaks have split off and are searching behind the assorted stalls. A few are getting quite close to where you are hiding.[/ic]

[ooc]What would Gugaba need to do to avoid detection?[/ooc]

[ic=Isu=dras]"It is true that we stopped the mob," Isu-dras replies in his raspy voice, "but we took no violent actions against them or this construct. As for a charter...I did not know that one was required. I have recently arrived, and I know little of this place."[/ic]

[ic=Kaine] "Only words were used to disperse the mob that was intent on destroying this warforged. I was in the process of repairing as much damage as I could, before you arrived." He looks the redcloak up and down. "I do not have a charter. I too just arrived, I was sampling some of the local food when the commotion started. If this is your warforged, then I will leave him in your capable hands and be on my way."[/ic]

[ic=@kaine and isu] Sargent: "that is what i have heard from many, and since those who told me, didn't partake in the mob, i am inclined to beleive them. There will still be an official investigation, but for my part i accept your explanation. However, the lack of a charter is a serious offense. There will be a warning since you are new, but i warn you now. All freelancer groups must be registered with the adventurers guild and carry their charter if they wish to carry weapons within the city limits, as well as to accept employment nearby. I can get you pushed to the head of the lines, but only if you register first thing tommorow."

Other guard: "People were saying that angels intervened. I know you to be a raptorian and no celestial, but what about you? Is there any celestial blood in you?"[/ic]

[ooc] there are several storefronts and stalls nearby. You could make a hide check, or move into the nearby stores (or there is a tavern 2 doors down the path) and act casual in the crowds there. Or make a third option for yourself.[/ooc]

[ic=Isu-dras]"I am no celestial, just a priest with a few odd traits." Isu-dras simply replies, his voice level and even. "I carry these knives solely for self-defense, though I do not think my enlistment within any guild is necessary; I will most likely be out of town by daybreak."[/ic]

The guild has seperate chapter houses in each major town, and they accept charters from other towns, but each group has different rules and traits. The central government mandates that each town regulate it's own guild, but they each must have one to control the carrying of weapons (included non-physical weapons such as spells). Registration is not mandatory, but it give you more freedom within the town and access to certain resources. It also means you have a file and have to kive up secrets about your powers. [/ooc]

[ic=Gugaba]Not wanting to be found nearby, and not wanting to be found in an incriminating situation, Gugaba slips over to the tavern like a shadow in the night.

[ic=@Kaine and Isu]"Well, there seems to be no need for several blades for self defense. The same goes for your spear and crossbow. A bit excesive for defense, don't you think? Either way, if you will be out of town shortly you need no charter, but keep you weapons back in your rooms. On that topic, i will need to know where you're staying in case we need to ask you any further questions. Other than that, we thank you for the aid in repairing the warforged, but we will take over from here on out. [/ic]

[ic=@Gugaba] The tavern was fairly when you entered, so you don't think anyone noticed you. There are now many people pouring in off the streets to get drinks and discuss the events outside. From what you can gather, this is an uncommon event, but has been getting worryingly more common recently. The opinions seem to favour the side of the warforged, but they are still significantly split. There are also many other topics being passed around, including the actions of the two strangers outside, and you also keep catching brief mentions of some dissaoearances recently which some people think are connected to the anti-chine riots, others are attributing to the cloaks, although no one seems to want to outright accuse them, and others still are blaming any number of other culprits, from orcs to giants to demons.[/ic]
