Oh lulz. I got invited out to trivia night this week, and next week I'll be flying again.

It seems fate conspires against me ever playing Steel Isle (until the week after next).
Dude, flying I understand.

But Trivia night?  Maybe I am misunderstanding something...
He must have forgotten to include, "with the ladies" or something equally whatever that is.

Ninja D!

I think Victor is going to add some Menatalist and Order.

Top Spell Choices : Perservere, Lesser Control, Great Strike

Other Spell Choices : Charm of Life, Lesser Authority, Greater Authority, Rigid Lock, Locktight

Obviously, keeping both lock spells would be sort of pointless. I'm willing to negotiate on anything and money is just as important as spells but we should come to some decisions.

Will you be able to get more than 1 different SP? The cheap kits (450 horn) take 2 hawaak and the expensive ones (1100 horn) take 1 hawaak. We usually don't spend more than 2 hawaak in town so can you get both kinds of SP? If you can only get one, what spells would you prioritize and what SP?

Nomadic

Personally I'd say get mentalist first, that's the biggest one. Then if you want grab an order kit and train on it while you're out of town.

That sounds about right. Barring death, I will get both eventually. I also have no idea at all how much money we'll each end up with. I haven't done this before.

Either way, I have a lot of Spirit SP and can compensate for lack of others that way, when needed.

If Moss ever dies When Moss dies, I think I might do a Chaos-magic user. Or something.

Ninja D!

That sounds interesting.

About prioritizing; Basically, my list above still holds. I will eventually get both Mentalist and Order. If I had to pick just one spell to keep out of the lot right now, I think Perservere might be my top choice.

You've been talking to Jomalley too much.
But running a chaos-based mage is a good time.  Chaos has a few neat spells, including Sigil of Alacrity and all the little curses (chaos has a huge cursing capability), but many of the fire and air spells use chaos as a secondary.

Sort of a catch 22 that you need to kn ow how much you can spend to know what spells to look at and the group needs to know what spells they can sell before they can distribute money.

Jon Galica has spirit, Mentalist, and a bit of artificer.   (21, 12, and 7 comes to mind).  He'd like Source Charge, Least Eye, and Omnipotent Eye, but the group has to agree.  Least Eye and OMni Eye are detect and id spells...they might be useful.

I think it would be good if those weren't sold, then. Being able to identify stuuff when we're out could make outings a bit longer.

That was my feeling as well...I always tell players that Omni Eye is one of the few spells that allows players to 'get better' in the field.

So I took out those huge town charts again...

You guys have a bounty of minions wanting to follow moss and toden and Astell.  GM may be online rolling up the next bodycount.
