How about this for one trap:
A large, empty room. As they enter and walk across the floor to the other doorway, the floor behind them begins to crumble slowly, revealing a large pit about 30 feet down with large spikes scattered everywhere. As they run to the other side, the door disappears. In its place there are 5 levers in a row. In order to stop this collapsing floor, all they have to do is wait. It stops once it gets to around where they are standing, and then the door will reappear. However, pulling any lever speeds up the floor, but pulling the middle one causes the ceiling to begin to slowly move down. The only thing they can do to stop that ceiling is to have the center, 4th from the left, and 5th from the right in the down position and the other two in the up position.

Or would that be too much?

I agree. I watched it again as well. In imax again. It was just as awesome. And to me, those guys still didn't look like romulans.

When i say reglorify science, i mean make kids interested in science and math stuff. Not learn from it. Ohhhh no. That would be very bad. But just get them interested in it.
I say that continuity issues be fixed with another time travel movie, this time where new cast of TNG goes back in time in order to prevent that movie from ever happening! problem solved.
I thought it was amazing. Especially since my local theater just opened up an Imax screen :P

Now, as far as changing the other series goes, old Spock said Romulan blew up 129 years in the future. Is that within Enterprise's Timeline?

Also, in the opening scene before it was explicitly stated they were Romulans, were you guys getting that vibe/immediately new it?

EDIT: Also, the way this Star Trek is being seen by younger people not usually interested in it seeing it (i.e. most of my friends have never seen a star trek episode in their life, but really want to see it), I think (and this may be heresy to some here) if it is followed up by a new series, then it has a good chance to reglorify science through mass media, thus helping increase the general smartness that the U.S. seems to lack in school districts.

EDIT 2:
As my understanding goes, Black Holes do not work that way!!!!

Also, red matter? seriously?

And "OMGEEEEE THEIRZ SPACE LIGHTNINGZ!!! WE R DOOMED!!!!"
How about something created magically? Like have government mages "printing" the money, and they have a unique magical aura, depending on which government mage imbued the coin.

Or, you could just not have currency at all, but instead a free bartering system.

A book you may want to look at for some ideas on how to work technology/special powers in with physics is Physics of the Impossible by Michio Kaku

With the powers, I have a suggestion for the mechanics behind it. You could add another part to the E = mc^2 equation. This would allow the people who could acces it to convert matter and/or energy into something they could manipulate.

[blockquote Salacious Angel]I'm not sure if that summary really conveys just how stupid this movie is. [/blockquote]

Oh, it does.

Seeing the previews, it looked awesome. Now I have no intention of watching it.

I have to concur with Xeviat. I recently got a few to try them, the energy they give you is okay, but the second one i had, i could not get all of it down. thats how bad it tastes.

While this is probably more mainstream than anything posted here (i haven't watched/listened to all the links), this is one band that is just genius.
MUSE.
If you haven't heard of them, look them up.
If you have heard of them, look them up.
My personal favorite songs from them are:

Heck, pretty much all of their songs are good.

Tell him that there's shiney stuff in the refrigerator, which is secretly a kender-trap thought of in advance when the aforementioned kender took up residence in household.

Kender says: How much TNT does it take to get to the center of a tootsie roll pop?

Instinctively you...

Run in fear.

Kender says: "You should take all the shiney stuff you see, right?"
Instinctively you...
